I'm still trying to get used to things here and feel my way around...
I was looking through the Hogwarts, A History link I got when I was sorted. Term Fifteen is the story that we'll be following this time, right?
Also, I'm having a little trouble finding how to board the Hogwarts Express. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Actually, it's Term 18 now. And unfortunately, the train hasn't really left yet, so no train at the moment but it will turn up very soon!

Gee, don't feel bad, the same thing happened to me when I joined SS! Unfortunately, there won't be another sorting until this coming school term is over, which will probably be some time in May (a term lasts around three months). Don't worry, though, there are plenty of fun things to keep you busy in the meantime! (Fan clubs, Knockturn Alley roleplays, forums and the like). Come and meet some new friends, we're here for you!

to get a wand, you had to go to Ollivander's in Diagon Alley, but it's already closed. You can just go ahead and RP in the train. You don't need to have taken the wand quiz to RP in the scool.

Once you have become a regular member (after your name has turned from brown to turquoise), you will be able to edit your posts if you need to. There will be two boxes in the lower right hand corner of every post that you send, the one on the left side will read "edit" (the other box says "quote", just so you know). All you will need to do is click on that edit button and you can go in and make any changes you need to. It's that easy, and the button will appear automatically.

There actually isn't any place to sign up for classes. What happens is, once school starts the teachers start their classes when its convenient for their schedule (sometimes with advance notice posted on your house's bulletin board). Classes usually last a long time (a few hours, minimum) giving everyone a chance to participate, plus you have usually about a week to get your homework done and even if you happen to miss a class you can still review the lesson and do the homework (that's how I was able to earn so many points last term, just from doing the homework.) Don't worry, there's no sign up, just come in and participate whenever you like (and can)!

I'm sorry to say that you just missed the sorting period. Sortings are done between school terms (about every three months) and this term is just starting, so there won't be another sorting done until probably May. You will find plenty to do in the meantime, though, as all areas of the site are available to regular members (10 posts or more) except for the RPG School, so enjoy! (It happened to me when I first joined, too. You are going to have lots of fun and make new friends, anyway, so don't worry!)

The sorting is currently closed and will open again in approximately three months. To be sorted, you must first become a member (defined as having 10 legitimate posts and your username turning to a turquoise color) and then take the sorting quiz.

Depending on your answers to the quiz, an administrator will sort you into a house. From there you can take part in the school RPG. Until then, have a look around the forums. There is plenty to do!

Please, be paitent. The Headmistress hasn't even given her speech yet. Classes will start after the feast, depending on each professor's life outside of the website (but first classes should be held in a week or so).
