Also, don't pretend to ask something just so it looks like you're not spamming out of the Newbie Hut. It's selfish, takes up other people's time and will result in a big, ugly, scary PM from one of us telling you off.

It's pretty hard to say exactly how many people on the site are active. Almost 80% of the members are active on the site.

Well, you may get a wand if you wish, but that's once you get sorted. However, there is no quiz for a wand. Once you are sorted, you may visit Ollivander's in the RP section and get your wand

You don't "get" a RP name. You choose your role play name. It can be anything you want it to be!!!

I am not sure if this is more of a question or a comment.

Why in the Newbie hut are there no area that basically asks for a sample role play to a situation? like a simple how would your character react to situation x.

As answering pointless repetitive questions only seems to prove one can jump through hoops and actually knows English.

By being active around the site and following the rules. Those members were chosen to be aurors or professor as they were needed.

Because it all changes from person to person. One character might react one way while another will react in another totally different way. It all depends on the person. To learn how to role play, it's better to learn by experience.

ok. so i was just wondering. you know how when people answer multiple questions in this thread. well...how do you do that, cuz i can't figure it out. and this is just an example just in case my question isn't clear enough. like Cristygen answered 3 questions at the same time. so if you could answer my question that would be great...well...thanx!

If you want to quote multiple posts, just click on the icon of each post and it will turn . And the on the last post you want to quote, click on quote and the page it wil bring you will have all the posts you want quoted. You just respond below each quote and you are all set.

Give the system time to clasify you as a member, your need to be a member to take the quiz.

In the rpg school, would it be acceptable to use all capital letters if you were yelling?

The rules and FAQs aren't 100% clear on this matter, but it's typically more common for RPers to simply narrate that their character was yelling/half yelling etc. instead of capping/flaming, like so: "You are so pathetic!" S/he yelled after him/her. I would suggest that you do that instead, to be on the totally safe side.

But, if you decide to cap you character's yelling, please be sure that it's only their words that are capped and not the entire post/narrative bits, because there's a measure in place to discourage 100% capped posts, and everything will be automatically lower-cased. =]

ok i feel really stupid, but like when other people are posting with smilies theirs are different than mine. i just have ones that are supposed to look like the hp characters. how do i get different smilies?

When you are making a post and you have the smilies to the right, click on the link below the smilies that says More. A new window will open and it will show you the featured smilies. At the top of the window, it says Featured Smilies. Click there and drop down will appear and you just choose the category for the smilie you want.

i'm having trouble with my signature, like when i go to edit signature and i type it in the box and hit save. a little box comes up and says that it can't be more than 50 characters, but it's not and i made sure it was . can you please help me...thanx

Remember that the code braket is included in those 50 characters. Even if the text is black, the bracket would be [*color=black][/color*] (without the asterisk) You have to take that into consideration.

You can find your user notes in your user profile. To get there, just click on your username. And no, you are not notified when you have a user note.
