Welcome to the Site!! You'll get the Questionaire during the sorting and you'll be sorted according to the answer you give.
It wont take morethan 5 minutes

Admins will put up an announcement on the site when the sorting is open. The link to the sorting will be given in the announcement itself. Don't worry, you won't miss the announcement.

On the blue bar at the top, click on User CP. On a navigation bar on the left hand side, you'll be able to find a link named "Group Memberships". You will find a list of all groups you're allowed to join. Select the group you would like to join, follow the instructions and a request will be sent to the group's mod. Once they approve, you're in the group!

I have a question about SPAMs.
In other forums, my messages are frequently brief, because if I don't try & limit myself to quick, succinct responses, I find that I REALLY ramble (& that's so embarrassing when you read your own words later).

I've thought of another question -
in my previous query I highlighted a word I wanted to emphasize by writing it in capital letters. Is this 'flaming'? Is it considered more polite to use the [i]italics[i] option instead?

Well, it depends. SPAM stands for Short Pointless Annoying Messages. As long as your "short" messages are based on the topic and are not too short (atleast one complete sentence), then it shouldn't be SPAM.

In an entire post, highlighting one or two words using capitals is not flamming. It's flamming only if you type entirely in capitals. However using the Bold, Italics, or Underline is always a better option.

I read in one of the former posts that the next house-sorting was on Sept. 3. Does that mean it will be 3 months before there is another sorting?

The sorting has not yet begun, so don't worry. It should start anytime within the next week or so. But there is a gap of 3 months between every sorting.

You can edit your post by hitting the ''Edit'' button in the bottom-right corner of you post, and then by modifying your text. However, newbies do not have the ability to edit their posts; you'll have to wait until your a full member before being able to do so. =)

ahh cant wait fro the sorting itll b eme frist time!!!! so ive been wondering aboutth ewand test too heheh itll be cool if they actauly give us really wands (not that there area any REAL wands but still) anyways my question is is that one place where you post as much as you want in trying to get liek 1million posts before the 5th hp movie comes ou tstill going on because im trying to findit!!!!!

You do need to be sorted, you'll be able to take it once you are sorted in Diagon Alley.
