It seems that you have to be sorted before you are able to do certain things on the site. Does that also apply to joining the fan clubs? I tried to check out The Three Broomsticks but it said I need a password to continue. So I guess I must be sorted first, correct??


Also, I have a question about the sorting quiz. Is it a multiple choice type quiz or do you get picked for the different houses by actually writing out answers to specific questions??

No. That only applies to the School RP. You can join any fan clubs you like. To join them, go to your User CP (Blue toolbar) and then click on Group Memberships. There you'll see the list of all the fan clubs and you can join all the fan club you want. Right now access to the Three Broomsticks is password protected because now DH spoilers allowed in there, so enter at your risk. But if you see the forum from the main forum page( http://www.snitchseeker.com/forum.php) right below the Three Broomsticks, you'll see the password.

If I remember correctly, it's a multiple choice quiz.

No, this site is only by fans for fans and is in no way affiliated with JKR or WB.

You can't be sorted now. Just like everyone who is not sorted, you do have to wait until September to get sorted.

Probably some of it was SPAM and it was deleted by a Mod. To avoid this, follow the rules of the site and post accordingly.

No. They don't come here to chat with their fans. We are a Harry Potter fan forum and do not arrange meeting or are in personal contact with any of the cast/crew of the Harry Potter movies. I suggest that you go to their official sites and get their contact information from there

You may have posted outside this forum [Hagrid's Newbie Hut] In order for your 10 posts to be valid ones, you have to post within Hagrid's Newbie Hut. There is also a possiblity that even if you did post within this forum, the post was recognised as a moderator as SPAM or an off topic post and deleted it.

Of course. You can participate in the rest of the forum. Like discuss news, the books (this forum is currently closed) Play games, RP, read or read fanfics, discuss important issues and much more. But for that, you have to be a member (10+ legit posts).

You get one of those as you make posts. Those are categories that changes with the amount of posts you have. You don't have to be sorted to have one.

Squibs is the same as a member, only that they have been banned from the Schol RP for breaking the rules and are not elegible to be sorted again.

Thanks for telling me how to find the fan clubs! Now that I found them, I see that you have to request permission to join. What exactly do you do in the fan clubs? Are they just more discussions related to the titles of the clubs? And is there a limit to the number of clubs you can join?

There are no restrictions as to how many fan clubs you join. You can be a member of all the existion fan clubs if you wish to do so.

Well. Basically what happens in a Fan Club is you go and talk to people who are obsessed with the same person/character/actor as you are and have fun. There are chat threads, games and other things. There will be discussion threads and all sorts of stuff. The title of the club is whom the club is about. And our mods occationally come up with some fun activities to do relating the Fan Clubs.

What exactly do you mean by this? I mean if someone asked a question about if people were seeing anyone in real life and some guy respond "yeah me and my bf.." then he's talking about being homosexual. I just was wondering what you meant by not being able to be discussed? If it comes up are we supposed to pretend we didn't hear him say that?

Nobody is allowed to talk about these topics in the forum except the Charing Cross-Roads (I think that is what they are called) where you can discuss such topics. If anyone does mention something like this anywhere except the Charing Cross-Roads, you are ment to tell them that they aren't allowed to do so, if they still continue, then PM a Mod and that person will be taken care of. I hope that answered your question.

I was wondering how to set my post text color. I don't want it to be black and to be honest I can't bother changing the color all the time so is there like a default setting?

Also how do I change the color of text on the side? Where there are information about you on the left side of the post.
In my case it would be:

Well, for one thing, you can't set your post colours permanently to any colours. You'll have to keep doing it each time you post.

Secondly, to get the your profile info in some other colour, one of the admins will have to do it for you. You can't do it on your own. The admins only do it when they feel necessary, so no point asking either.

Sorry if this has been already answered before. I've already read some posts concerning this, but it's still not completely clear to me....If a newbie reaches the limit of ten posts, is the transfer automatic or are the posts being evaluated by the mods? Probably a stupid question, spammers and trolls probably aren't allowed to become members. I'm curious what's the criteria though. Who or what decides if poster's contribution is convenient enough?
