No, it doesn't sound stupid. No such thing as a stupid question. Newbies cannot edit posts, I do not think, until they have been moved to the Members usergroup, which should be soon for you, because you have 11 posts.

Nope, once you are sorted you are foralways and ever sorted into that same house. You aren't allowed to get resorted.

If a thread gets deleted, so does all the posts in that thread, and you will have to post up to the Members stage again if that many posts get deleted. I always urge members and newbies to just post in the News forum (following the rules, of course) because then they don't have to worry about being returned to Newbie.

Double posting is simply the act of posting right after yourself, having 2 or more posts by yourself in a row. Now you haven't double posted, because my post is in between your two. But if mine wasn't there, you would have double posted. Just an example, to try and help you to understand.

For regular memebers, no. Only Mods can delete posts you accidentally posted, but you will get in trouble/warned about spamming/double posting if you don't edit the post and ask them to delete it. But, since Newbies cannot edit their posts, you can't do this, and once you can edit your post, you have no need to ask for the incomplete one to be deleted, you can simply hit "Edit" and edit the post to finish it.

You try out for the team whenever tryouts start. To tryout, you just have to answer some questions regarding quidditch.

The next sorting is sometime in September. This question has already been asked so make sure you check through.

We can't help you there, sweetie. People whom our site managers think will do a good job as mods will be chosen and given the name of 'Aurors' You will just have be active and do your best here. Who knows, you might end up being one later.

You check this thread again. Sorting answered below. And if it isn't on for a while you can still do whatever you like on the site following the rules of course, you just can't Role Play in the School Role Playing Game. You can visit Knocktern Alley to get some experience in RPing.

You don't have to RP in the classes but it helps to meet new people and if you do your homework and answer questions correctly in class, you get points for them and those points are added to whichever house you are chosen in. You might help your house win the House Cup!

After you finish your 7 terms at Hogwarts, you create a new character and start all over again. Or you can make the student an exchange student, entering Hogwarts in any year you choose. But I recommend going through from 1st year.

Yes you are. You can request a graphic maker in Madam Malkins and submit it in the Submit Your Signature thread and it will be put in for you.

You go to Quick Links on the bar above and click on Edit Profile.

Click here and say that you would like to be a member of the Order (Or you could choose Death Eaters) and your icon will be visible as soon as possible.

Yes, you can get banned/suspended. How long depends on what you have done and how seriously you have broken the policy/rule.

Hi again :-) When you go into edit your own profile and it asks for the name of your character...are you supposed to make up your own name, or are you given a name once you get sorted and get admitted to Hogwarts?? Same with choosing what subjects you excel or do horribly in, does that get filled in once you start doing the classes in the rpg or do you just pick them yourself?

You can make up your name, just like to create your character. You can attend the classes you like. It's basically up to you.
