After the 10 posts, you must wait to be placed in the "members" user group (your name will turn a light blue and it will say "Member" under your name).

However, sorting is currently over and will begin again in about 3 more months.

The ranks here are based on the magical creatures in Harry Potter. SS has the ranks to add a bit of fun to posting, so as you go along posting, you achieve a different rank for making a certain no.of posts.

No. You do not have the permission to delete your own posts. Only a mod can delete it for you. Instead of adding on something to a post that you already made by posting again, you can simply edit the same post. Try doing that in the future.

You simply type and post, something like

Susanne walked into Florish and Blotts to find her school books. Once finding them, she approached the counter to pay for her items.

or

Susanne walked into Florish and Blotts, but had trouble finding the books from her booklist, she walked up to the shopkeeper and asked, "Excuse me, could you help me locate the books I need?"

and Your character is in Ravenclaw.

okay, so i was trying to get a signature and a profile picture, you know like a picture off of my own computer and after i pressed save changes something came up that said that they were not a valid image file. what does that mean??

That its too big, or that it hasn't got a 'valid extension' ie. PNG, JPEG, JIF.

Hey. Just wondering, how are you able to get user titles? I know that you can have the fan club ones, but are you able to have others? If so, is that because of how many posts you've made or is there another way? Cheers.

You will be able to get titles from being active in the language forums. If you are active in a language forum, then you might earn yourself a tag. Also, being active in other parts of the site, or becoming a mod will also get you a tag.

I read that you can have the title "expelled". I understand that if you do soemthing wrong you can get kicked out but does that mean kicked out of your house and the school or banned from the site entirely

It means that you can not participate in the school RP, but you can still participate in the rest of the site.

Do you have any influence on where you're sorted? Like if you don't really want to go to a certain house is it possible you'll be placed there?

Sure, you can use other avatar. Just save it onto your Photobucket [or other] account and then click User CP. Then Edit Avatar and place the link in the URL space. It goes the same with avvies from SS or not from SS.

It depends on the Sorting test. If you get placed in a House then thats that, you cant change over to a different house because you dont like this one. No changes.

Yes. Once you get your ten posts and become a member, you may personalize your profile. But the sorting ceremony is over for now. It'll be back only after term ends, which is when you may take the quiz.
