Which do you prefer? Why?

Which do you prefer; the Harry Potter books or the films? And why?

i would have to say that the books are better then the movies...but the directors along with daniel, emma, rupert, tom, and all the other amazing supporting actors have done such a terrific idea of creating an exciting display of the novels with the movies that they are almost as good as the books are. i wish there was unlimited funding towards the movies so they could make them all like 7 hours each and not cut any parts from the books XD

one thing tho about the 5th movie...it really strayed from the book...i thought they could have kept it a lot better by taking out some non important parts...vs changing some of the most important

I am kinda forced to vote movies because I have just recently become a Harry Potter fan.... My brother is a big fan and my girlfriend is too... (she is the one that told me about the site...)

i perfer the films because i have trouble reading the books so the filma are the only way i can know whats happening.

I cant decide because the books are excellent and give you loads of detail but the films are great as well because they show the action so clearly

Mostly Equal , But the books a tiny bit more. Maybe because they're longer , and include&explain more than the films do. But also the films , for having hot people in XD And because they make sure you know the image of what's going on.. :S

The films, I love movies. Sometimes I forget that I'm reading a book, and then I notice is months later, and then I've forgot everything, so yeah..

I like both equally. The books have their great aspects in that they provide more detail, and in some cases, more explanations for a certain action. But the movies are also really good, in the way they were put together. So I like them both equally. By the way, I really HATE Snape!!!

And when it comes time for me to get sorted, I hope I get into Gryffindor!!

i love them both 100% because in the books it gives you more infortmation and you can picture it. And in the Movie you are seeing and yeah i love them both 100 %

I love the books! I enjoy reading better than television because then I can conjure up all the images in my mind and make Hogwarts look however I want. I do enjoy the movies too, but they were a bit of a buffer for me between books. I guess now they are all I have to look forward to so I may be a bit more excited.

I actually like both, but I was really disappointed with OFP movie. There was a lot missing from the book that could of been in the movie. But I was pretty much straight forward with some scenes. I just hope the next movies are just as good as the others.

i really like both equally but i hate it how in the movies they miss out important stuff like in order of the pheinox they miss out heaps of gimauld place and ron and hermione being prefects

I like the books because I perfer to sit on my own with book, usually in the middle of the night. I also perfer the books because they have the entire storyline. (unlike the movies)
