| The books... ... although I have to say, I do really, really like the films as well. I think one of the reasons for liking both quite a lot is that I watched the first two films before I read the books - so, when I was reading the books, the characters in my head looked exactly like the ones in the film!
This meant that I always thought the books and films complemented one another quite well - I think maybe if I had read the books first and had a really strong idea in my head about what I thought the characters and locations looked like then - like with Lord of the Rings - I would have been a bit discomfited by the discrepancies between my imagination interpreting the books and the film interpretations.
But yea - digressing! I think the books are just wonderful - I only very recently finished the last one and cried on the bus on the way home from uni. Yes, marginally over-dramatic, but heck - I was emotional |

There's MUCH more details and they don't cut anything of the plot |

| Books.
I've always been a fan of books rather than film... Theres just a feeling that film can't capture, not only in Harry Potter though.. |

| I enjoy the books more. I find that the books are a bit more detailed when dealing with the interaction between Harry and everyone else. I enjoy the thoughts that are going through his mind and Harry's attention towards others. His ability to describe people he meets is interesting. An example would be his description of Ginny. When he first met her. He described her so differently, like he was in awe of her. When we meet Hermione, it is a different description, she walks in and begins talking to them, the reactions of both Ron and Harry is hilarious and they are not really sure why she is talking with them. |

| I like the books better, of course. JKR is the creator of this world we love, so it's almost like we all need to enjoy the books more than the movies. The movies are alright, but they have nothing against the books in my opinion. Rowling is a brilliant author, she's just so different. She knows how to shock her readers, in good ways, obviously. |

| I would have to say that I love the books more then the movies, though the movies are not far off. The books pay so much attention to detail and in a way are more exciting then the movies.
The movies are brilliant, don't get me wrong, but nothing beats the quality of the books. |

| Books, they're much more descriptive. I believe if I hadn't read any of the books I might have gotten lost in some parts of the movies... I still do a little bit sometimes... |

| I do love the books more than the films, although i still do love the films. the reason why i love the books more, is due to the fact that are more descriptive, with intrisic detail, they are so perfect. and now that the films will soon be ending, i will be able to read the boks, and be able to picture what the cahrqacters look like and what they are doing! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Demetra Crayton Second Year | I can't decide.
The books are awesome. You can get lost in them and they give more information and details.
However, the movies are amazing. Daniel, Emma, and Rupert really bring the world of Harry Potter to life. |

| Y di I prefer the books. I prefer the books over the movies because the books go into more detail about what is going to happen as for the movies cut out all those good and important parts. Dont get me wrong I love the movies but the books are really better because the the detail they go into. |
