That IS a hard question. I'd have to say that I do enjoy the books more than the films, but the films are just as brilliant. I don't like the fact that some things are edited out of the films, but if they weren't, they'd be 16 hours long! But I do agree that the movies have stayed pretty true to the books.

Even though the movies do a great deal of justice to the books so far; it is quite the dauting task to recreate imagination. Also many parts which are truly Harry's inner monologue are impssible to put ofrth into film. I look at the movies as a great precursor to the books (How I myself became a fan) but not the best medium.

The books. They allow you to use your imagination and are much more detailed so that everything makes sense.

Oh God, I love the books more. The movies are refreshing (that's the best word for it) because they let me SEE the world of Harry Potter, but the mind is not hindered by boundaries, so I enjoy the books much more.

Also, the books don't care about run-time and they never cut scenes

The Harry Potter movie's and book's are both amazing. I like the books way more, reason being is that they take you into the most detail you could ever experience, the books make me feel as if i'm actually in the wizarding world. The movies too are extremely amazing, but when you read the books, you can picture things how you want them to look. Sometimes your imagination treats you better. The movies too can be helpful if the book explains something that you can't picture. But i will always think the books are way better.

Oh, that is one of the hardest questions I have ever had to answer. I role play in both so I guess it doesn't matter to me. Anything with George Weasley (Oliver Phelps) He is soooooooo adorable!!!

hehehe

The books, because there wouldn't be those movies without them, and you get more details. I think that people, who haven't read the books, don't understand LOADS of things happening in the movies, although I like the actors a lot! x

I like both the books and films, but the books are able to have more information in them and unfortunatly the films have to cut out lots of the story... Ron Quiditch!!!! They are both good though and I will definitly get the last two films when they come out on DVD!!!

I prefer the books, even though the films aren't bad. They're usually fairly accurate adaptations and entertaining. Even though I love seeing the magic come to life on the big screen, the discrepancies between the films and the books always sort of irk me, and there's just something about the completeness of the books that is more utterly satisfying than the films.

The books, without a doubt. The movies are fun to see the stories "come to life", but it's just not possible to make a movie that fits what you imagine while reading.

In my opinion, the books are better than films because they let you use your imagination so widely. I think it is really great. You can actually get lost in the book xD!

i think the books are much better:
A)you see a lot more of the smaller characters
B)you get those little bits in the books that the movies slip out
C)the books just make you feel like you are there..
definitely the books
