Okay, this has been bothering me for a while. Do you think Hermione ever had a crush on Percy. I mean, it would make sense. He was a rule-follower, prefect, older, taller, and was into current events. He could have been Hermione's ideal type of guy growing up. Of course though, she chooses Ron, which is a much better match. But an eleven-year-old girl would rather be with an older guy who's just like them instead of a guy their age who is the opposite of them. I don't know. What are your thoughts?

Nah. I don't think she did. First of all, she wasn't attracted to Ron right from the start. It came somewhere in the middle(though it was there all the time). And secondly, when she was sort, in the appropriate age to love, Percy was out of school, in the Ministry and was seen as a ambitious and selfish person. Thirdly, during school time, he had a girlfriend, Penelope Clearwater.

And personally, I can't stand the fact of Hermione and Percy. I can't see Hermy with anyone else other than Ron, though I had been shipping Harry/Hermione for a long time from now. R/Hr is pretty good!

But Hermione could probalbly still have crushes at 11. love is different. Ginny had a crush on Harry ever since she was 10!

She might have, but I doubt it as there is no proof of it in the books. She is known as getting along with him, but nothing other than that. But I do agree that it would be logical.

You never know. She probably did because Percy was the 'ideal boyfriend' in her mind. THe prefect, rule follower blah blah. BUT with him being so much older and them never seeing each other and her and Ron spending so much time together...It probably never would have happened. The books (from what I can remember) never even mentioned them talking? Maybe outside of like eating meals at the Weasleys house.

It might have been a pre-teen crush, but they could never work. For one thing, I don't think Percy could think of Hermione in that way. For another, there's such a thing as being too alike. Percy was, in some ways, a male version of Hermione, and them being together ... imagine the kids! They'd create a race of super intelligent children!

I don't think so... Hermione was so obsessed over being the best and getting good grades, and "catching up" with other magical people that had grown up in the magical world that she wouldn't have time to start having a crush on Percy by the time he was at Hogwarts. And then later... he was so messed up and "evil" =P that she wouldn't even bother about him.

Although the thought makes sense - he could've been a role model for her - I don't think it ever happened, no.
Maybe if that were true, JK would tell us on Pottermore!

She liked and respected him but I don't there was any other feelings. I believe that it was love at first sight between her and Ron even though it took 7 years to happen.
