Is Bane the centaur on the Dark Side?

it is just a theory, as he highly objected to harry riding on firenze's back but he might just be proud. What do you think?

Bane is a traditionalist. There have been many times Centaurs have been asked if they want to change their status and have refused to change. They have historically been very proud creatures and Bane wishes them to remain so.

Bane just doesn't believe that the centuars should have anything to do with humans. Bane despises and distrusts humans - all humans. I don't think the centaurs will choose either side. There role is to watch and read the signs in the stars but not involve themselves.

He might be, but it is quite unlikely because he is probably just proud. He might be evil though.

I think he just was very sensitive of the whole "centaurs are animals" thing.

I dont blame him i mean wouldnt you hate the thought of being just an animal to humans? I think he is on the dark side and will turn on them hehehe

Hes not on the dark side hes just sensative about Centaurs and humans being separate

i don't think so. centaurs do not consider themselves horses so what harry was doing was kind of treating Firenze as a horse even though Firenze offered Harry the ride.

I 2nd that. I think that he doesn't want is kind to be used as laborer's for the humans. & there probably is a bit of insecurity on his part about being half & half. Not quite human not quite horse. But,a hybred. & Lord knows what the History is of humans/wizard vs their kind. Most likely the humans abused & used them. hence, your distrust for humans.

hmmm good question but i dont think hes on the darkside. I think hes just proud of being a centaur. Being half and half kinda makes him feel that if he helps a wizard then hes nothing more then a work horse or a mule. The Riding on the back is just something that in his mind shouldnt be done by their breed. its to commen for them. But evil no i dont think so, just full of himself.

I don't think Bane is on the dark side. I think Darlinga is right--Bane is a traditionalist. Centaurs don't generally interact with humans, and the Wizarding war has put a further strain on the already tenuous relationship between these species.

Furthermore, the centaurs are not pack mules, or working horses, they are regal creatures capable of complex thought processes; so Bane sees Firenze's putting Harry on his back as an affront to the nature of the Centaur.

Bane just wants to protect his way of life in the forest, and human beings, even small, defenseless ones, threaten that way of life.

I dont think he is evil, only very proud and distrusts humans. And I think Firenze was off the limit, OK how nice he helped Harry and blah blah but taking him on his back was too much. I think he should have accompanied Harry through the way.

he is not evil at all he just wants to keep the traditions of the centaurs and he doesn't want to get humans involved in there bussiness.
