Okay, guys, i just came up with a top topic off the top of my head since we really need to get on this discussion thing. If not, we lose our FC, so lets just get this thing over with.
What are your views of the Patils being part of the DA? Do you think it will make the girls stronger? Will they fight against the Dark Lord?

I think that it will.
It seems to me that their parents are like most Indian parents, any danger of any sort big or small they will take action. For example pulling thei girls out of school when Dumbledore died. | |

Well I think that the Patil twins are getting stronger because of being in the DA. I noticed that in the 5th book. I think that they will help fight LV in the last book. Not too sure how that will be, but I think that they will do something important in the fight against LV in some way or another. | |

Jess, I agree what you're saying babe and you too Whitney. The girls didn't want to leave Hogwarts at all, it was their parents that forced them to leave. I see the girls growing stronger in the 5th book, being part of the DA. I mean, to me they wanna show that they can be useful and do something, since most people think that their are like all girlie? I guess girlie, but Parvati mostly there. I want to see the Patils in the last book fighting for what their believe in. The girls both support Harry in this fight. | |

Ok, well. I think that being part of the DA made them stronger. Not only mentally it also taught them a lot of things. I know that they're brave and smart, but I don't think they will be fighting in the last book. Their parents simply won't let them. I think that cause my parents are just like that, being muslim and all. They're overprotective and so are the Patil's parents from what I read in the books. I do hope to see them in the last book. With some action of course. i'd love to see them fight, but I fear my wish will not come true. | |

This is how I see it, only way for the girls to be in the last fight is if they rebel against their parents. For me, I think-I know, that Parvati is the stronger and braver one, and she would rebel against them. I'm not sure with Padma...she's not brave like her sister. I mean, she's in Ravenclaw, not Gryffindor. | |

I think that Parvati is braver, but she probably have been in more trouble than Padma. In the books, they don't seem to talk a lot.

I'll agree on that, Jess, but to me, Parvati doesn't want people to always see her as the girly girl she is. Maybe she will rebel against her parents, and Padma will follow her. The girls are getting older and they make their own decisions. | |
