And just because their Slytherins, doesn't mean they can't love(highly unlikely, but still). Gryffindors however do stuff that benefit others and not only them, therefore, selflessness. I hope that helped explain the differences. However, I kind of doubt that it is selflessness. I doubt they would find it very interesting in the Department of Mysteries, but honestly, who knows.. | lol dont worry- i understand a bit now. |

| well, either way, we dont know who will kill who in the end- but let's not dwell on it too much, i got this from an interview from jkr and it just confuses me all the more -
MN- "Is it true that since Voldemort took Harry's blood by force, that Harry can kill Voldemort, but Voldemort can't kill Harry?"
JKR- "It's an interesting theory, but I wouldn't trust it too much!" |

| ilovemalfoy9687-k just tryin to help. (lol)
And as for the interview with JKR, I wouldn't put too much in it. I highly doubt that she will let the 'bad guy' win, and I think that she will at least let them be equals, that way Harry can prove himself and all. I honestly don't think she would do anything that evil. But, you never know. |

| yeah, i really doubt that voldemort will kill harry in the end
because above all we have to remember that these are still childrens books and if harry died it would leave the kids all depressed
and i dunno if JK could even kill harry herself
cuz she was so sad about killing Sirius and he isnt even a main character.
i doubt that voldemort will kill harry cuz then it would be really sad to write |

| i was being sarcastic when i said neville would kill voldie! lol anyways, it's not love nor selflessness! that would be waaaaaaaaay too cheesy... "yes harry, voldemort can't kill you because you love people too much" puh! lease
it occured to me yesterday the sorting hat's song... there was a part about gryffindore and slytherine being best friends...hmmmm... and j.k said that harry will meet his true love in the series (in an interview somewhere)....foreshadowing, maybe?
i don't think the bad guy would win but i do think harry would die in the process of eliminating the bad guy! we did not hear what trelawney said...we heared what dumbledore said trelawney said! BIG DIFFERENCE...
the laste scene maybe:
there lay the two corpses. the once harry, and the once threat that is voldemort. ever burning it's way into their memories, their peace and their thoughs, the mark harrys' face, the lightening bolt scar.
maybe that would be the last words in book seven....oopps this is supposed to be theories on book 6...oh well.
and it's fast becoming not a childrens' book. j.k said that it is growing as is it's characters and audience. |

| Sirius is cool- You make a good point about the prophecy, we heard what Dumbledore heard, that might not even be what was actually said, but then it might be. Oh well, this is getting way too confusing for me.
Oh, in the 5th book, remember when some wizard was bewitching toilets o make them regurgitate? Well, later Mr. Weasley said they caught him, but he only ggot off on a minor charge because "gold switched hands." Why would JKR have added that? Fooreshadowing maybe? But what would it be forshadowing? |

| yup...he did get off for the DA business...yup...
j.k said that harrys' parents...well their history is key...
i just wonder why harry doesn't ask about his parents? and by the way...will they throw a funeral for sirius *sniff*, harry is siriuss' heir, right? he gets grimmuald and stuff? sirius is a good lookin' guy...quite attractive in nature and appearance, i think he might've had a love interest befor azkaban.what do you think? sorry it's randome but whatever shoots out of...err... lol the keyboard...lol
i'm sorry i never heard the expression "changed hands", so i thought j.k meant to say he gave information to umbrdge...what does it mean phoenix arian? |

| oh thanks... ian...or phoenix arian..."changed hands"...
errmmm......well, even though it'd be cool if draco and hermione got to together... i don't think so... he "acts" like he hates her a little too convincingly....though i wonder why when she slapped him he didn't retaliate...it seems to obviouse that ron and hermione hook up, j.ks' plots are never obviouse...maybe hermione and...ermmm.....PERCY?!...calm down calm down, no need to bite my head off!
by the way, who subscribed to this? me! ya okay i started it but still....don't you like my topic?*small insecure voice* |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | I dont think Fudge will ever admit to Harry or Dumbledore's faces, that he was wrong and he definately wont have the guts to apologise to them. |

| Yeah, I guess it would be kinda possible for Hermione and Draco to try to hook up, but, I don't know. I think the plot is confusing enouugh without trying to decide who will hook up with whom.
Oh, and you can call me Ian. I know it's much shorter than Phoenix Arian. |

| thank you...and everyone you can call me sarah if it's easier.
don't kill me, but i wouldn't want hermione and ron to get together they are too, how shall i put it? funny together, but sometimes annoying... they fight too much.
by the way in ootp, j.k mentioned a "stringy haired boy" with draco and his goonies, she (including the mentioned above) has mentioned him three times... he could see thestrels and when harry gave an interview to the quibbler (he mentioned deatheaters's names) the boy and draco got and discussed things in the library...honestly check it out...and i still think collin creevy will betray them (harry and his possy) because he is too much of a wormtail (people keep on suspecting poor neville)... collin fits the profile... |

| yeah, i totally agree. colin definitely fits the profile. the only thing is, hes not as close to harry as peter was to james. besides that, neville has the extra thing of his parents death preventing him from going over.
also, about the prophecy, i think we can pretty much assume that as true and not censored, since dumbledore was sharing his actual memory, rather than telling harry what trelawney had said, right? |

| The reason Dumbledore won't let Snape teach is because he is too afraid Snape will become obsessed or something with teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts., And let's face it, it wouldn't look to good to the Malfoys if he does, will it? By the way, I found that in an interview I read with JKR. |

| seriously? but why wouldn't it lok good to the malfoys? he is teacher who teaches... besides i don't think snape would do anything to make lucius angry...so he wouldn't have applied for the job in the first place... are you absoultly sure? |

| Yeah, I'm pretty sure thats what I read in the interview. I'll try looking up the interview and double-checking it sometime, maybe add some more information to it.
Yeah, you have a good point about him not applying for the job in the first place, but, who knows? But you know what, I still don't trust Snape at all. I'm sorry, but I really don't. Can't really tell ya why though if you ask. |
