I think Ginny doisent see Harry kissing Cho but i know she hears about it! i mean there are two ways she can pretend it didnt happen or be depressed about it! adn as we know in OOTP she is trying to move past harry |

No. Ginny gives off the sense of being more complex than that.
And, seeing as in Phoenix, she's sort of moved on to other boys, i.e. Michael Corner. But, at the end of Half-Blood Prince she says that she never really gave up on Harry, which gave her some small hope.
So, I think that at the same time she ignored what she heard about Harry and Cho, yet hoped that somehow it wasn't real, however deep down she knew it was.

No, I don't think Ginny was jealous in book 5. If anything, I think it may have upset her a bit...but that's all. When we look at the confrontation scene in HBP where Ron and Harry walk in on Ginny and Dean, she seems to be a bit upset....but I think that is mostly because all this happened in front of Harry and maybe she's a little embarassed. I dunno, Ginny is a mysterious character....She's more than we expect sometimes and she's constantly surprising us. | |

When Ginny met Harry, what I first thought was attraction was really awe. Being a Weasley, she had heard of Harry, but now she was meeting him.
She gained a lot of respect for him during CoS, but still wasn't attracted. When she heard he had kissed Cho, she finally realized she had feelings for him. She is a very competitive person and this realization got her going. She was not jealous, just shocked. | |

H/G couldn't have had years because Harry only started fancying Ginny when he saw her kissing Dean. So, Ginny's cheesey line must be taken with a similiar pinch of salt.

I didnt like both of them with harry i thought it was Hermoine who was meant for harry .but then J.k gave me a bad shock .but if u ask me giiny is much better option then cho .i dont think so she was jealous . | |

I just agree in half of your statement. I mean, I know, Harry and Ginny could have been together before. I understand Harry just "Saw" her as a girl, not as Ron little sister in HBP. BUT, I don't think Ginny got over him at any moment. Look at it in this way..Harry was her first love, she was always around him. How could she get over him? Hermione revealed that she started dating so the she could move on. But that doesn't mean that she did.
I just don't think it could have been possible.

I believe that even if Ginny had been jealous she wouldn't have showed it because she was trying to move on from Harry and act more normal around him as she took Hermione's advice. It was only when she started acting more Ginny-like around Harry that Harry managed to find out who the real Ginny was and then started liking her back...
