| | | WoW! So many of you all cried...it was sad when he died...but I didn't even realize he had died until the chapter ended....all the way throughout the book it was like everyone was coming close to death..Mr. Waesley, Hagrid, McGonagall, Ron, Hermione....and then came Sirius who I didn't even think had died when he died.....in all of the confusion I guess I just did't have time to build up tears...if he had like whispered the last few words of a dying man to Harry then I may have been a little more sad...... | |

Maybe she did this so people think he doesn't have the regrets. But still, I really had hoped he could have been of more help to Harry. That's the question isn't it? Why? |

| I have to hink that Sirius is definately dead, but that said I agree that he will show up in the future, in some way thanks to the veil. It had to be significant, or JK would have found a different way to kill Sirius off. |

| what i dont get is why rowling mentioned him in all but three books and then just kills him after telling us how much he ment to harry and their relationship, and everyone believing his innocence and stuff like that...i too believe that he will show up again in the future books and that the veil has a part to play also...among with the mirror.... |

| Just a question about your theory.....
If Sirius was really still alive, why then did J.K. say that she was hysterically crying after she wrote that part if he were just to come back in a later book....and why did she say that since she was an author that she had to be a ruthless killer? |

| Sirius dies for two reasons. For JK, it is because she wants to illustrate how suddenly and tragic death can be. In the book he is targetted because he is loved and loves Harry - Dumbledore surmises as much as the end.
Also, if he isnt really dead, then death loses a lot of meaning- what's the big deal if you can come back or don't really die anyway? |

| Yeah, I know . . . I was depressed for like three days afterwards . . . it comes down hard on certain people and others not really . . .
It sucked especially because J.K. Rowling REALLY developed their relationship in this book . . . how he was always so disappointed when Harry would leave Grimmauld Place and how he was disappointed when Harry wouldn't do certain things . . . just really got their feelings going and then she . . . killed him off. |

n the next day my sis took my cuzin brother to the shop to get it n i was at home n then apparently my cuzin jus opened a page- 744. somewhere in there it says if harry.........sirius would not have died. so they told me n i read it..... n the rest as they say was horrible.
i want him to come back. but id rather not get into whether he will or not too much |

| I know it is sad. But don't u think his death was a bit sudden. Plus he died fighting and somewhere in one of the books it said 'someone' would die fighting......maybe I read that in a different book..... But he was having fun fighting Bellatrix etc.

| my goodness people I was hearing talk of how harry and sirius would reunite through the time turner
yeah right... sry no offense
in the fifth book when harry & friends are in the department of mysteries and they come across that black veil thing it tells you later that it is a connection to the dead and when haryy passed it he said he could hear murmmers so i think that you might be able to talk to people through there and hopefully sirius
R.I.P. sirius |

| When Harry passed the veil before the conflict, Ron was on the opposite side, right? What happens when somebody would walk through the other side of the veil? From the side that Sirius entered, one dies. But, perhaps, from the other side, it's more restorative.
That veil will be significant not just to communicate with the dead, but really to discuss and interpret death and dying. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Angie Fifth | im just wondering about two things.
1. if harry walked past the room of requirements 3 times and asked for a portriat of sirius, would he be able to talk to him?
2. when bellatrix said she was fighting the "animagius blac" then voldie answered then she said "but master, hes here hes below.." did she mean dumbledore or sirius?

| When she said "he's below", she was referring to Dumbledore whom she briefly saw while running away. |
