Some parts r really weird...
Juz like tt of Mark Evans...
Is he a distant relative of Harry n Dudley?
N how come the Potters r not mentioned......
Could it be they all really died?
We saw the Potters in the mirror of Irised
But we cannot be sure tt all of them r dead
Juz like Sirius, he juz suddemly popped into the story...
Even though he was mentioned by Hagrid in PS....

Has anyone found any new, pertinent information from Book 5, especially now that Book 6 is out? Book 6 answered a few of the questions that we had (such as the fact that the power that Harry has is love), but I think there is still a lot to discuss. I miss all the great discussions that we had in here. I think that there are a few questions that I still have.
1) J. K. Rowling said that Snape's patronus and boggart will be important. What do you think Snape's patronus and boggart are, and why do you think that will come into play?
2) J. K. Rowling said that some Hogwarts teachers are married, but that she couldn't say who becuase that would give information away. Who do you think is married and why would that be important?
I think that anything that J. K. Rowling said in that interview that she did right before Book 6 came out is important- and we can discuss it in here as long as we don't get into Book 6 too much, since this is a Book 5 forumn.
But like I said, I think there are still a lot of unanswered questions, and Book 5 might still help us solve some of them.

Lily Evans was Muggle-born. She cannot be related to any wizarding families.
Smith is also a common Muggle name, very few of them are related to Hepzibah and Zacharaiah

It is possible for muggles to be related to wizarding families. But that would be very many generations back in there family tree.

i think you's are all sooo good, well lily is a very big mystery as we kow she plays a major part in book 7, so ive been told anyway, her eyes yes strange... theres something about her that heas been held back purosely and i cant wait to find out what
im also dying to find out about james money to, hes amazing and i want to learn more about lily and james... i think that is what book 7 is going to be orientated around to, harry finding out truths about his parents it would help him a lot!!!

ok, so i have a question about Thestrals. It says that you can only see them if you've seen someone die, so why doesn't Harry see them on the ride to the Hogwarts Express on his way home at the end of term his fourth year? He has seen Cedric die? And he sees them on his way to school in the 5th book. Did i miss some thing? help!

I had noticed that too. perhaps harry was just so distressed about the whole graveyard thing that he didn't care nor notice they were pulling the carriages..
i don't know.

Okay. JKR said in an interview that Evans was a random last name, and she didn't even realize the significance of it when she put it as Mark's last name. So that takes care of that theory.
I also think that the Divinations exam was pure coincidence. Harry didn't know those things were going to happen, he just wanted to get out of that stuffy divinations tower.

Actually Evans is a really commen name so it is possible that this is just a coincidence or if they are related they must be very distantly because Dumbledore says "the only family he has left" not the only family that will take him. As for the other stuff I don't think harry has the eye since he never has any prophecies or any ... well anything to do with the sight.
