I think she just silently bore the pain. She would have wanted Harry to be happy

I think that Ginny was a little jealous, but more broken hearted. I mean, if you found our that the guy that you liked kissed another girl you would feel jealous, but more upset that it wasn't you that he was kissing.

^ I agree. She was probably jealous to a certain extent, but more so upset. After all, Hermione told her to loosen up around Harry, and then maybe Harry would notice her. And to find out he liked another girl, must've made her self-consciousness go down. She probably felt like se wasn't good enough for Harry, or not pretty enough or something. We all know it's happened to us.

Yes I think that Ginny was majorly jealous of Cho and Harry but hated Cho more than Harry. You can tell by the way Ginny looks when they are crossing the bridge coming back from there DA meeting when Hermione said something to Harry about something good coming out of the meeting (refering to Cho). Ginny had a scould look on her face.

Yes, of course Ginny was jealous, regardless whether she had a boy friend at the time she had a crush on Harry and thats the bottom line.

PS:Cwoods Ginny had a boyfriend at te time so how could she be heartbroken when Harry and her had not even dated before, that makes no sense, she could howeve think she is heartbroken but I feel one can only truly be heartbroken seeing the person kiss another if they have been in a relationship with you otherwise it's jelousy.

I agree with OtterySt. Catchpole: Ginny wasn't jealous of Cho--just heartbroken. I feel for Ginny. I've been in that situation before, looking on as someone you love kisses another person. Ginny knows somewhere that she and Harry belong together, so she isn't jealous of anybody that Harry dares to like. She knows that she and Harry will be together in the end. But it's still very hard to watch that happening under your nose.

Ginny wasnt jealous, just a little upset maybe. And she did have many boyfriends, so she didnt still have that big crush. She still hoped for a future with Harry though.

No! I don't think so. Because she doesn't see Harry and cho kissing. Also she was interested in Harry. She have other boyfriends until HBP (I think).

Ginny is jealous????? I think that she can be jealous because Harry likes Cho first and Cho Chang is much more smarter and beautiful than her. Unfortunately, it did not work out because first Harry was not experienced with girls so he was not good with feelings and comforting. Well, Cho ( she is my favorite character), just gone through a lot and it was too fast for her to fall in love with Harry. She is confused. I don't think that Ginny is a "perfect" match for Harry, i just think that the bad timing between Cho and Harry make them fall apart. Cho's life is like "up-down" whereas Ginny's life is smooth, that's why it makes Harry feel more easier to get along with Ginny than Cho. I just think that Harry is not thoughtful enough with Cho and he has low tolerance toward her. Poor Cho, i still love this character.

I don't think Ginny was jealous. In CoS, she was a lovesick, infatuated girl crushing over Harry. But she's grown since then and, yes, maybe she was disappointed, but jealous, not so much.

not during this book, she had got over her infatuation at this point with Harry and was dating Michael Corner so i doubt it would've bothered her much

I'm not sure that Ginny was jealous, since she wasn't so gooey eyed for Harry like she was in the earlier books. She may have been surprised or disappointed, but Ginny doesn't really strike me as the jealous type. I feel like if she doesn't like the way something is going she tries to change it.

I think she was jelaous, yes, lol. She still loved Harry and it was a shock for her, when she heard all the storys about Cho and Harry. But she was strong and didn't say anything. She's a pretty cool woman. Better then Cho, shey cried all the time, but Ginny doesn't. Respect.

I think Ginny's feeling extend beyond jealousy, after all in her mind she knew that Harry did not belong to her, that didn't stop her from feeling hurt but it stopped her from being jealous.

On one hand, I think she was jealous, but really it wasn't as if she wasn't 'trying' to move on.

I think she knew deep down that they would get together one day, because a girl always knows So I think, that instead of showing the jealousy she just acted as if she didn't care.

I think she was more taken aback. she had always idealized Harry but it never seemed that she did so in a romantic way until HBP. when Harry had his "relationship with Cho, it allowed Ginny to see that Harry initially didn't feel the same way about Ginny that she felt about Harry, which allowed her to branch out and start dating other guys (i.e Micheal Corner and Dean Thomas) before she and Harry got together at the end of HBP
