|  Pensieve scene is in!
I'm not sure if it was confirmed already or not but I just read on Mugglenet.com that the Pensieve scene is indeed being included in Ootp! *squee* It says that they've received news that the casting for young Lily, James, Sirius, Lupin, and Snape is in it's final stages. Ooooo I'm so excited!!! I can't wait to see who they pick for Sirius. He better be hot! O=) I can't wait to see Lily too. I have a specific picture of her in my head. I hope they don't mess it up!
Edit: Can someone fix my spelling in the title?

~~RQT I have many reasons, first of all it is not necessary to the progression of the story. Nothing happens within the Pensieve except for the whole "James hates Snape, Snape hates James" factor. That has been removed from previous movies, and this is a bad time to bring it in.
I believe Order needs to focus more on relationship with Sirius, or else the death will not be that big. Seeing Sirius like that in the Pensieve will not help Harry progress with this. We saw that in the book as well.
Anyways, I know I won't convince you guys. You all want mini-Snape :-P

I just thought of something. What if, in the movie, Snape has his version of 'Advanced Potion Making' with him? They might use that as foreshadowing....

I really don't think it's such a horrible thing to have this scene in the movie. I mean, so what if it's, as you say 'driven by the fangirls'? It's a scene most people want to see in the movie. If it's in the books why would you want it to be cut from the movie?

That scene is very important to the story. Every scene involving Harry's parents is a character sketching scene. Seeing Harry's reactions will be very interesting.

I agree...But it's not their fault...
It's just theres so much to put in and so much not to....
I guess we need to be a bit patient....Then again, they know what parts will HAVE TO BE ADDED, and what parts that are just there for show and tell...
