Really? LOL It's just when I hear actual british people it doesn't sound any different. Then again I suppose it works that way... I get annoyed with characters that are suppose to be from Maryland and they don't say things the way we'd say them. For instance pronouncing Maryland would sound like "Mar-lyn" however, there is a movie called "Saved!" in which they're suppose to be from Maryland and they don't say it right at all. lol

Sorry I don't know the actresses listed. My own pick would be Kathy Bates. She is really good at playing deranged characters, and I could just see her as Umbridge! Meryl Steep might be another good one too. She's really cooky!

I think Patsy Byrne who played Nursie in Blackadder would make a fab Umbridge.

I don't know her name or if she is even alive still but I think that the lady that played in the exercist you know the lady that comes and helps them get the girl out of the house. The book says that she has a squiky voice and when I was reading about her I could see Her in my head.
