OMG luna is 1 of my favorite characters i dont live in britian so i cant try out fer the part that would be great thou i know if i live there my mom would toally be cool with me trying out. but ew dakota fanning that would be terible *shudders**. i have a friend who toally looks like luna to bad were both canadiens and live in ontario its so unfair u have 2 live in the uk to try out grrrrr.. Me? no. I was giving response about to wizcat about the fact that Luna really is dutch. That's why I said it. But I twould be so cool if I played it though. Not to sound all Oh-I'm-so-perfect, but I can act,
I WANNA BE IN THE MOVIES!!! NOW, but that'll never happen.
And no, she's not the girl who has a crush on Ron or Harry. Luna is the one who's father is the editor of the Quibbler. In HBP she also commentates and talks about clouds, it's when Ron's in the hospital.

I love Luna! The first actress I thought of was Michelle Trachenberg (did I spell that correctly?), bec of her big, bright eyes--she always had this vacant expression on her face. But I'm not too sure. She's a bit older now. I cant think of any young actress who'd be perfect as Luna. | |

I have only one actress in mind who could play Luna Lovegood..and that is none other than...Rachel Hurd Wood. She played Wendy Darling in P.J. Hogan's Peter Pan, and I thought she'd be excellent as our dreamy, slightly loony Ravenclaw.  She has this aura of being dreamy and kind of spaced-out without looking like an airhead and a ditz.

We know they're scouting schools so I hope it's an unknown like the rest of the kids. It's the best way to go. Rachel would only remind people of Wendy. Plus she's already got a new film and labour laws probably wouldn't allow her to do 2 at a time. Plus she's in her GCSE year, the same as Emma. | |

| Yeah...but on the subject of longing (applying to Luna, lets forget about the pic first), does Luna come across as someone who's longing for something? She lost her mom, made fun of at school...but she seems to be lost in a world of her own. So far JKR has painted Luna as someone who speaks of "uncomfortable truths"...but we don't (well at least me) really know well what she wants/what she's after. Luna does seem like an airy/fairy character at first, but ONLY at first. Theres's so much about her that we have yet to find out so it'll be really interesting how an actress would play her.
I'd look for a pic of Rachel 'spaced-out'. Because I still want her for the role! | |

Haha, to each her own, anyway. I just wonder how much screen time they'd give Luna in the movie though. Would they just have her on the train, give a measly intro about her, then just have her hover in the bg for the D.A. (if that is included at all)? Hope not.
