I hurd that Liz Hurly will play Bellatrix Lestrange. I thought they were going for an all Britsh cast!!!
That rumour was debunked months ago. And she is British.

Least they are being true to the books in that sense and only putting ppl in from other countries when it is needed like GoF.

anyways it should be a unkown actress who is most propally just starting up and be british .

Well it's only fair. British people don't want someone who's not British playing the part because we'll be able to tell the accent's fake.

You know, I have absolutely no idea who could play her! Me? I've got blonde hair and overly big eyes JUST KIDDING! I'm sure it's going to be someone we've never heard of. HAHA funny thought, Hillary Duff! *Cracks up* Could you imagine that? Or that annoying girl from Phil of the Future (on disney channel). Now that would be funny!!!

I dont get why your exaggerating it all by saying 'british ppl rule'... Its a British film, based on a British book. And it would be pointless to get an American to do it when there are plenty of decent british actors out here. Plus its annoying when an American tries putting on a British accent. Its so fake. I dont think you'd have much chance getting the role...

that it's a british book doesn't say that much, there are plenty of books that're filmed in another language than they were originally written. and it only makes sense that it's a british movie, but that doesn't mean you can't wish that rule didn't exist. I like it being a british movie, but that doesn't mean I like that rule too.

It wouldn't be a British film if the cast weren't British. Without the rule the film would not be British. So it's thanks to the rule that you like the films.

We hear about him but that's it, I think. We may see him at the end when he collects his daughter from the train but not enough for him to warrant a part in the film.

Post I know a girl who could play Luna

There's a girl in my school who could def. play Luna.
She has blonde long hair and large Emerald eyes. She's such a good actress and I've seen her in all the productions with her agency and she's played things from a extrovert to a timid child who's lost her mother! She would be excellent and she would be v. popular with fans. She's 13 now is she two young?

No, i know that. But Jk specifically wanted it to remain a British cast, and that is part of what makes the film as it is.

I want to be Luna Lovegood, hehe. I have blue eyes and REALLY pale eyebrows like she does and blonde/red/brown hair wavy straggly hair so if I grew it long and dyeed it blonde? hehe. I'm not really into acting though so probably not.

OMG please I hate it when Americans/anyone think they can do an English accent, they all sound like the queen, it sounds so posh and fake. NO ONE speaks like that.

What does this Dakota person look like?

^ Yeah lol!

I'd say the right age to play Luna would be 14-15 because she's in year 10 and that's what I am. But again, I don't think I'll bother because I'm not REALLY desperate for the part and it would be so much fairer to give it to someone who's really into acting.

I looked up this Dakota girl on the internet and she's far too young.

And Liz Hurley is British, she was born in the same town as me. I know her mother.

Well Luna's between 14 and 15 in OotP, depending on when her birhtday is. However casting doesn't start until Autumn and filming won't begin until 2006 so she may not be too young at all. Is she British?

I think that Luna is too important to be cut. Alot of funny things and stuff wouldn't happen. Ms. Rowling wouldn't let her be cut. I might be mistaken, but I think that Luna is one of her favorite characters. I really don't know who would be good as Luna. I think that a new person (preferably from SS ) would be nice. So you people from the U.K speak up!

No, I definitely don't think Luna could be cut because she is like part of the secondary trio. It's just not right without Luna, and also it depends on what her role will be in the 6th book. If she is a major part of that book too, then they'll have to include her.

Yes Marcella the girl is british! She has been with an agency before and stuff and she is very talented. She's just turned thirteen and every1 thinks she look mysterious because you are just drawn to her eyes because of their colour!

First of all I watched a movie with my dad and half the cast was British and they were playing American soldiers. Some of them did well with the accent, but others sounded very weird, so I must agree on the sniffing out of a fakie.

As far as hair color goes, Emma Watson is originally a blonde and they dyed her hair brown for the part of Hermione. The Phelps twins are brunettes, but have their hair dyed ginger for the Weasley twins. So as long as you don't mind getting your hair died for the part, you could get in on your acting talent and they could fix the detail of hair.

She'd have to get with an agency who could represent her because CBBC reported that there's a chance there won't be open auditions for the role of Luna Lovegood.

People say that but I don't think it's true. At the press conference when she got the part at the age of ten, she was a brunette and that was before any film preparations had been made. I think the blonde thing is an assumption.

Or like Tom and Alan, you could use a wig And contact lenses.
