Hey, don't knock it. After all, Shirley Henderson (Moaning Myrtle) is pushing 40 herself. And Jane looks young enough IMO. I think she'd be perfect. Just cute enough without being too stunning.

Speaking of such, Anna Friel probably should have played Fleur.

I just really hope whoever plays Tonks does her justice. I wanted to try for the part myself, but I know applications outside of the UK aren't being accepted, and Canada, while being a part of the British Empire, is just a little too far outside that jurisdiciton. The part would have been right up my alley too. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that they cast it really really well now. I don't have any preferences really, so long as they don't just choose someone who is convenient or a just because they happen to be a big name. that would be horrible. but i don't really worry about it much, i have confidence in them.

Keira Knightley's too pretty...and too famous to play in the HP series. IMO.

definitely agree with Evy, really famous actresses such as keira knightley (tho i love her) don't really belong in the harry potter series.

There's a girl that was on the real world on mtv who was british, her name is Jo, i think she would be perfect for Tonks. She's on mtv's the gauntlet now thats why i thought of her.

I was totally going for Kiera Knightley as well...but she's way too busy already to do a Harry Potter flick. She has the heart shaped face,she'd be a natural acting clumsy (lol),I could see her saying "Wotcher Harry",I can picture her screwing her face up to change her appearance and she definetly can sport the hair-do's!

Yes Keira Knightley would be good as you mentioned. Since they're going with unknown actors it won't be her, unfortunately but I could see her in the role although she is a bit young looking compared to Thewalis.

She's a British actress probably most well known for playing Beth in Brookside (a soap that was on here a few years back) she's done a lots of stuff since, but that's what people know her for really. Oh, and she's the partner of David Thewlis who plays Prof. Lupin I think that's one of the reasons many of us wanted her to be concidered for Tonks, especially since she was rumoured to be interested in the role. She's very Tonks-like in my eyes... can imagine her with the pink hair and everything...

Well Jane actually really suits the role. She looks exactly as i imagined tonks would. With some makeup, she'll look heaps younger and be awesome!!
