Elijah Wood as Sirius? No, definitely not. He's a nice guy and good actor, but I wouldn't see him as young Padfoot. I think they will cast someone we don't know yet. | |

They can't cut SIRI!! They do need someone hot, but not well know. I nominate Gael Garcia Bernal! Black hair, blue eyes, pure unadulterated hottess...He's perfect!! And William Pitt would make a good young Snape if he dyed his hair. | |

I'd say that they'll probably cast someone who's unknown. So far, alls of the younger actors and actresses were unknown before the appeared in a Harry Potter film. So it's likely that they'll follow that strategy. | |

I am sure that it will be someone that we have never heard before, plus he will be from the European area and Johnny Depp does not fit that description as much as I love this man and would love for him to play the part....I say a definate no to that. All the other younger actors and actresses on the sets were not famous at all (even though some were in other movies before HP). | |

I think the scene is more necessary than you think. JK thought it was important enough to put it in her book, and I think it will help movie goers understand the immense hatred between Severus and Sirius. (A lot of people only watch the movies, and have no idea what goes on in the books.)
I am of the opinion that this instance is a key factor in how Snape treats Harry, and may even play a bigger part in the last book.
I think it would be a huge injustice to the series if it was cut. | |
