Okay to some of you this might not be that important or that big of a deal, but to the Siry fans out there like me, this is a HUGE deal...
Who do you guys think will play Siry's younger self? I know we have no clue as of now, but just post your thoughts.

Oh gosh I really have no idea... O_o I guess they'll choose a perfect stranger.

And I can't wait to see who they pick to play young Snape, he better be great.

To tell you the truth..I have no idea. But based on a set of icons representing younger forms of the marauders that i saw on hp_icons (LJ community) I think Johnny Depp....would make a nice Siry. But I have doubts...I also think that Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, would make an awesome Sirius.

Johnny Depp is about 40 I believe, and Sirius has to be about 15 in the scene... I also doubt that the producers will cast a bass player as young Sirius, although Pete Wentz does look a bit like Oldman.

Well I do agree with you don't get me worng, but at points Johnny does look a lot younger than he actually is in real life. And yeah, I mean it's just my opinion that I think Pete looks a whole lot like Sirius. But then again, there are so many hidden actors out there...>.>

Who all thinks that the scene is actually necessary? It shows us the teenage years, but does nothing for the story. I see it getting cut fairly early on.

Well I think the scene's pretty important to show why Snape hates James and all, because after all Snape will be playing a bigger role in the following books/movies and it would definately be nice to have some background information about him.

I admit Johnny Depp looks a lot younger in some movies, but then again they won't be choosing a famous actor to play Sirius in the movie. lol Sorry I don't want to sound rude or anything, I do see your point.

You're insane! What do you mean it's not important...The Occlumency lessons were very important and if they decide to show some if any events from those lessons it has to be this!
As for JOhnny Depp, I'm also thinking there should be casting strangers.....

Yeah, you're right, Occlumency is very important in the book also.

I'm not saying drop the Occlumency part. That needs to stay. I'm talking about dropping the part with the pensieve. True, it shows hatred from Snape to James and vice-versa, but in the overall story it doesn't accomplish anything. It may in book 7 though.

Okay, my posts might be biased since I'm really looking forward to seeing young Siry, but that scene has to stay...
I mean, Think about it....Snape is, like JKR said, the one who can help Harry beat Volde.
Dumbledore had said in order to get to a person, you need to find out tehir past, that's why he used the pensive for Harrys' survival with Volde.
Snape's memories show and prove alot of things that JKR had left hints throughout the whole series for.
If they don't include that scene, it'll just be weird

I'm a humongus Sirius fan(see username) but I think I have to face up to the facts that they most likely will not keep the Pensieve scene in. The script is always about Harry's journey and what's going on with him and I really don't see this relating to Harry that much. It would be awesome if they included the scene but I don't think it's probable that they will.

I think casting a no named kid(s)... is how it should work... The only part that I am hating to see is when Sirius dies... I was mad about that in the book... I don't think I will like seeing it.....on the screen.......

i hope he is cute and looks somewhat like the older sirius

The battle in the DOM will be the best scene in the movie though.... ((Aside form Snape's memory))

I think they prob will include it. It's pretty important to Snape's charrie and he's quite important to the storyline. It would be cool to have Johnny play him but I hope they cast an unknown. Although, if they cast someone a bit more famous there will be more pics

I dunno - he would have to be EXTREMELY good looking - there's no-one more handsome than Siry...except maybe Draco....(couldn't resist - soz)

1) He's too old
2) He wouldn't be an...HPish sort of person - they don't want celebs - it would make it TOO hollywood....

but admittedly, if it wasn't for those reasons, he would suit the part well.

But then they would ignore the rest of the cast - Laura you're always complaining there are no pics of Tom - if someone famous was in there Tom would probably be cast out from the films.....

between those 2 I will be satisfied for weeks....
