OK, so when they first go to the Hog's Head for the first DA meeting there's that man in there and he's shooing a goat out.

Is that Abeforth Dumbledore?

And at the end when Luna says "Things you lose always have a way of coming back to us. If not always in they way you expect"

A hint for when the Marauders come back?

And when Harry is packing his trunk towards the end, Dumbledore is there and he says:

"I know how you feel, Harry."
"No you don't."
"It's not your fault."

That links to Dumbledore's sister?

These are all really good clues to the 7th book. i'd never have thought of them. im gonna watch again now for aberforth.

i like the "its not your fault" line. its really special to see dumbledore talk about his family now you know what happened.

I think that they are all good questions and I dont think that anyone thought that they where hints to the 7th book. I always wondered who that man was in the Hogs Head that day and now I am going to have to check it out again to see all those parts.

Well ... we sort of get the connection thing with why Dumbledore said that thanks to DH.

Yeah. That man's supposed to be Aberforth Dumbledore. I won't be to surprised that role will be recasted sometime in the future. He doesn't really look like Dumbledore at all really. :/

Yeah, isn't it funny that Harry assumed all kinds of things like that (like, Dumbledore doesn't know how it feels to lose a loved one) when both Harry and the reader knew next to nothing about DD? Good observations though!

Well the film was made before the publication of Deathly Hallows, though Jo must've approved the script and insisted on certain characters being included (such as Kreacher who was originally cut). Luna's line could be referring to Harry's parents, and the fact that they never really leave him.

Those are all good observations- the man shooing the goat out would have to be Aberforth (he loves goats! Yes I think what Luna said referenced the Marauders coming back as ghosts in DH.

Yes the above quote links to Adriana (AD's sister). I think Jo waited until the final book to reveal Dumbledore's story as she wanted to keep the emphasis on Harry as the main character. Also of course, keeping Dumbledore's past was a way of keeping his character mysterious so readers would be intrigued.

In that one portion of the film, yes. I believe Aberforth won't be played by the same man in Deathly Hallows.

"Things you lose always have a way of coming back to us. If not always in they way you expect"
I think this is a recurring moral of the films. It could be a link to the marauders, but perhaps not intentional. You could link it to quite a few things - the resurrection stone, dumbledore at King's Cross, Ron during both of his fallouts with Harry, the memory of Tom Riddle - the list goes on.

Ravenclaw It doesn't quite fit.

I'm afraid not.
Let's be logical. When Order of the Phoenix was being filmed, it was 2006. Deathly Hallows hadn't been released until over a year after (postponed the original released date. It was originally 7/7/07.)
It does fit, but not intentionally.
Good idea though.
