Who are your TOP 5 Most Remarkable actors/actresses in the films? and Why?

Those ones whom you think will not be easily replaced by anyone else because they are just so extraordinary and very remarkable when it comes to their character portrayals.

Those characters whom you think will just give you one name and personality once you come to think of them.

5. Helena Bonham Carter - she's the most loveliest villain I've ever seen. When I think of Bellatrix, all I can see is her cruel looks. Amazing woman.
4. Natalia Tena - I just can't imagine seeing anyone else playing her role as Tonks. She's perfect for it.
3. Emma Watson - She will always be my girl.
2. Daniel Radcliffe - of course, can you imagine anyone else to play his role? He just left a great mark in the history. He will always be our "Harry Potter"
1. Alan Rickman - I always knew his a great actor. And his portrayal of Severus Snape is just the best of all. The most remarkable one for me. Great man.

5. Alan Rickman. After I read the 7th book I absolutely loved him. I love how he put such fear in everyone. He was absolutely perfect for this part.
4. Emma Watson. Such a smart woman in all the movies. She made the trio.
3. Rubert Grint. I also think his real life personality fits perfectly to act as Ron. Awesome sense of humor. His best performance was the first part of the 7th movie.
2. Bonnie Wright. She's amazing. Enough said. She's beautiful and she's the perfect actor for the "little sister who is in love with Harry". I wish she had more of a role in the first part of the 7th movie.
1. Daniel Radcliffe. I think his real life personality helps him be amazing at acting as Harry. Noone else could have been Harry. He will always be Harry.

First off, great thread! I can't choose just five, so here are my top eight, in no particular order.

Maggie Smith: She is the PERFECT McGonagall. Could never imagine anyone else in the role. <33

James and Oliver Phelps: They portray Fred and George excellently!

Emma Watson: Even though I think they commercialized the movies and dolled Emma up, so she comes off as this glamorous person, and not the bushy-haired, socially inept 'Mione, I still think Emma is great for her role. <33

Richard Harris: He's the only Dumbledore for me. He could actually portray Dumbledore's wise, calm, penetrating-a-person aura in the films.

Alan Rickman and Jason Isaacs: Hot. Perfect Snape and Lucius. PUUUUURRRRFECT.

Helena Bonham Carter: She makes Bellatrix awesome.

Great call, i really loved Isaacs as in that role as well.

I know who my number one is, but after that, I can't really decide because I think just about the entire cast is awesome. But if I have to choose my top five, I guess this is how it would come out (but it's still subject to change).

1. Alan Rickman - This should come as no surprise coming from me. He was already cast and six movies had been made by the time I finally read the first book and became a fan, but as I liked Snape from the very first book, I had high expectations for his actor, and Alan Rickman exceeded every single one of them. I cannot possibly imagine anyone else as our dear Potions Master.
2. Imelda Stauton - I hate Umbridge with a passion, but I think some of it stems from Imelda's portrayal of her. She played her so well in both OotP and DH1 I almost can't believe it. I think she's the number one reason I love OotP so much, which seems strange, perhaps, because usually I'd just avoid watching any scene that a character I dislike is in. But I can't do that with Imelda's Umbridge. She's just that awesome.
3. Ralph Fiennes - He plays Voldemort brilliantly, right down to that cold, high voice Voldy's always described as having. I love that xD
4. Jason Isaacs - I've loved him as an actor even before I saw him play Lucius, as I love his voice as Admiral Zhao in Avatar The Last Airbender and I've never forgotten his performance as Colonel Tavington in The Patriot. So I was even further impressed with his portrayal of Lucius Malfoy and I think he nailed the character perfectly.
5. Helena Bonham Carter - Sometimes I think she's the only reason I like Bellatrix. xD There's nothing else to say except to quote Maxilocks:

'Nuff said.

1. Ralph Fiennes - He is simply an amazing actor in every film he does, he always gives me chills when I see his work.
2. Helena Boham Carter - She is in the same category as Ralph Fiennes but she somehow always makes me love to hate her.
3. Tom Felton - He is such a great actor, seeing him off-screen is always a shock, he has such a bubbly personality and it's amazing how he can just turn into this bad boy.
4. Alan Rickman - He is exactly how I imagined Snape to be, the voice and everything, now that I see him in other works I can't stop thinking "that's Snape! what is he doing there?!"
5. Imelda Stauton - Wow, can I just say that the moment I saw her I really hated her, but in the way that Umbridge is supposed to be hated, I loved that! She just gave the character a whole new dimension.

Yes, they are all evil but I truly believe that it is a lot harder to play an evil character than a nice one. These actors are simply remarkable.

Alan Rickmam-Absolutely perfect as Snape. I really couldnt imagine anyone else doing a better job.

Tom Felton-I love the way he potrays Draco.

Daniel Radcliffe-Excellent as Harry. I just can't point out any flaws in the way he plays Harry.

Rupert Grint-I think he did the most amazing job in DH Part 1. Absolutely brilliant!

Helena Bonham Carter-She makes Bellatrix really creepy.

i'd like to add Daniel Radcliffe-- not so much the acting part-- but that his face has become to the HP franchise what Christopher Reeve was to Superman. His will be the standard from which all other future Harry actors and HP related projects will be measured up to. very difficult to come up with an actor with incredible acting talent who can outdo Dan's looks as Harry.

i'd also like to say that all the actors in the HP movies that wasnt listed on my list are all excellent actors and have done an incredible job in their roles. but the actors i singled out have left such an imprint on the character, either out of sheer acting talent or being a book-come-to-life, that the aspect of recasting them will give even the finest casting director a real hard time.

1. Emma Watson- She is Hermione Granger. The role was basically written for her. No matter how many remakes of HP they make in the later years i don't think anyone will ever play Hermione better than Emma did.

5. Hero Fiennes-Tiffin (11 years-old Tom Riddle) - He was really young, but he portrayed a powerful dark wizard-to-be greatly.
4. Rupert Grint - He's really great playing Ron. He has a great talent in comedy.
3. Emma Watson - Her accent & style makes a perfect Hermione.
2. Helena Bonham Carter - Characters like Bellatrix suit her well.
1. Alan Rickman - I'm stuck thinking of anyone else who could play Snape better than Alan Rickman. He was meant to play Snape. Not to mention his mad acting skills & his voice.
