RIP Albus Percival Wilfric Brian Dumbledore! After seeing it three times now I'm still disappointed that they left out Ginny getting the snitch when Harry couldn't play that deciding match. I would also have liked seeing McClaggen(sic) being a real a**. Thanks for this thread. |

I´d like to see a passionate Harry/Ginny kiss in the common room. And Dumbledore´s burial, of course

I agree about the passionate Harry/Ginny kiss in the Common Room. That should have been there.
That stupid waitress scene should NOT have been there. Have Dumbledore pick Harry up from the Dursleys', as in the book.
Ron should have been standing with Harry and Hermione, at the end and said HIS line about coming with Harry. Instead it was all Hermione. (I hated that)
These three things spoilt the movie for me. Change them and it would have been near perfect in my eyes.

These three things spoilt the movie for me. Change them and it would have been near perfect in my eyes. I didn't understand why Ron didn't deliver the line. It was like he wasn't even there. I feel like they only use Ron for comic relief. He is good at that, but there's so much more to the character.
I don't feel like it was crucial to the movie, which is probably why the left it out, but I don't think they really portrayed the idea that Harry was sort of obsessed over Malfoy. They showed him following him once, but it didn't feel right.
Also, why no tiarra in the Room of Requirement?
I have to say that the scene with Remus was a let down, not to mention weird. Why did they make him all angry?
And agreed, ollie, the waitress scene was an epic fail.

Probably taken out the Burrow scene and added more to help Harry know how to find the Horcruxes (more memories and such)
I would have loved to see Ginny and Ron fight about his experience with girls.
Snape's DaDA class was also missed.

The waitress scene should just not have happened. Instead, Dumbledore should have picked Harry up from the Dursley's.
Ginny should not have taken Harry to the RoR to hide the Potions book. That was just all wrong.
They should have included Dumbledore's burial or some sort of reference to the tomb.

The fact that they didn't include the tomb is a HUGE mistake, because now, in the seventh movie, when Voldie goes to get the Elder wand, it's gonna look all wrong (what, he just strolls into the Hogwarts grounds, happens to come across a tomb, and knows that Dumbledore is buried with his wand?!)
Also-waitress scene. HELLO?! WTF was THAT?! And where are the DURSLEYS?! I miss them...
A small thing that was taken out, but would have been nice to see- when Harry is in DADA, and Snape asks Harry a question, and Harry answers, "Yes". Snape Goes "Yes, SIR". Harry's response: "There's no need to call me SIR, Professor." Killer scene in the book. Would have loved for it to be in the movie.
But what I loved about the 6th movie? ALL the R/Hr scens (lots of emotion, Emma and Rupert really have great chemistry). Whrn Harry takes the Felix Felicis, and goes to Aragog's funeral. Slughorn: "Harry!" Harry: "Siiir!"
Another great scene was when Ron drinks the Love Potion, and is just sitting by the window, and then randomly goes, "It's beautiful, isn't it? The Moon." "Divine..."
And when Ron is in Slughorn's office, and falls off the couch. That was hilarious.
Also, in the Burrow, when Ginny goes, "Mum, when did Harry get here?" And Molly goes, "Harry? Harry who?"
Overall, great performances, and this is one of the best movies in the franchise so far!

What I really didn't stand in HBP film was the small attention given to important (even if supporting) characters like Hagrid, Tonks or Lupin.

i've seen the movie 2 times now and what really bothered me were:
all harry and ginny scenes, i just..yuck they could have done a lot better
the "there's no need to call me sir, professor" i was really dissapointed that that part wasn't in the movie because it was the funniest line in the book, i still laugh when i read it but what i found odd was that it is in the game!
dumbledores funeral, well i did like the raised wands but i wanted to see the tomb and i agree with Ginny Weasley Potter, where would Voldemort get the wand?
the waitress scene, like ....huuuuuh??
the borgin and burkes scene, don't get me too wrong i did like it but in the book Draco is alone and not with other death eaters.
but what i did like in the movie but wasn't in the book was that Slughorn told harry about some kind of Lily he had as a present from one of his students and that he refered too Lily Potter,

When I read that the funeral had been cut from the movie I was really disappointed but, watching the final part of the film, I said something like "Ehi. The post-mortem is well filmed!".
I was really emotioned when everybody raised the wands and tried to put some light on the Dark Mark.

Quidditch and the subsequent H/G kiss the lencses kept dissapering from harry's glasses.
the weasly's house should not have caught fire.
the 3-d should have been more than 10 min. long.
the kiss that ginny & harry shared could've been a bit longer, but is was allmost alright.
in my opoion, the 3d was not worth 15 dollars

Dan doesn't wear glasses in real life, so in some scenes there was no glass in the frames, because that would cloud his eyesight. But you can tell, because there's no glare of the lenses of his glasses at the very end, when Harry and Hermione are discussing the locket.

Personally the the big kiss between Ron/Lavender should have been done instead by Harry/Ginny after the one quidditch match. Yates should have considered that or making H/G do their moment near the end of the film.

Bella Star | I was sad not to see Dumbledore's funeral although the wands in the air was really good and sad i also thought Harry's and Ginny's kiss in the common room should have been in instead and mostly when Harry takes Rons potion book and it has Roonil Wazlib on it i loved that in the book

I loved that part too!
"Is this your Potions book, Potter?" "Yes." "This is the copy of Advanced Potionmaking you purcased from Fluorish and Blotts?" "YES." Then why does it have the name Roonil Wazlib written in the front cover?"

^ I adore that!
I would've liked all of Tonks' angst and heartbreak over Lupin, not their subplot squeezed into about three lines. And why didn't Ron get any lines in the final scene? Too much Hermione just there.
I also greatly missed 'I am not worried Harry, I am with you'. (That might not be exactly right ). That's one of Dumbledore's best lines and I can't believe it was included in the film. It shows how now Harry is in the stronger position and must journey alone in the future.
Waitress scene and H/G = embarassment

I don't see the problem. How many are burryed in Hogwarts grounds? Dumbledore will of course have to be burried, and I think a white monument by the lake should be easy for Voldy to spot. It will be raised even if we didn't see it. Quote:

I agree totally with the rest of your post, it's one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time.
I did miss the scene where Dumbledore visits the Dursleys, it would have been great to watch him scolding them.
I happen to love/hate the scene where Bellatrix destroys the Great Hall. I have posted this before elsewhere, but here it goes again. I went to see the movie 4 times. I cried a lot through the last 15 minutes the first time, same thing a little lighter the second time, but the last two times I went off like a waterfall when we got to that scene in the Great Hall: Hogwarts turned into a deserted place that looked like no living soul had been there for the past 50 years or more, MY Hogwarts destroyed, the last safe place on earth. I hate Bellatrix - she also killed Sirius
