I think POA and HBP need some work. I was somewhat disappointed with everything that was NOT in Half-Blood Prince. As a whole, though, I don't really want them to redo anything.

*sigh* The chances of any studio remaking any or all of the Harry Potter movies is zip. They're not going to shell out millions just so fans can have a Hermione with bushier hair or a Winky the Elf.

I would have to say Order of the Phoenix. I was the longest book, but the shortest movie. I felt that they changed a lot and you didn't get a lot of the emotional depth that was in the book. I also want to see more of the DA and more of how much of a prick that Umbridge was.

Hm.
Sorcerer's Stone was kind of... well... really corny in my opinion.
Chamber of Secrets was better. One of the ones that were actually close to being right on.
Prisoner of Azkaban? I wish they hadn't left out the part about the Marauders!
Goblet of Fire was iffy. It just wasn't quite there, in terms of being accurate and such.
Order of the Phoenix left out wayyyy too much!
Half-Blood Prince? Same could be said.
Therefore... I would ultimately go with Order of the Phoenix, I believe.

In order of what I think should be changed the most.
Half Blood Prince..Gah! They left out a lot.. Not nearly enough Ginny teehehe.. Also I wanted to see Bill and Fleur! I totally flipped when I was told that they weren't in the movie. Though the acting was really good and it wasn't a bad movie over all. (but what was that thing at the beginning?! It had nothing to do with the books!) And not enough Harry/Ginny stuff, didn't have to be kissing but could have at least said they were dating or something.
Order of the Pheonix... Probably. Not enough Sirius! Haha, I just like him.. Also, the humongous amount of decrees really made me mad! There weren't nearly that much.. But it was funny in a dumb sort of way. They left out Fred and George's awesome exit! Well they at least changed it so it wasn't nearly as awesome.. And that was depressing. Also.. Where was Fireneze? I may be blanking out, but I don't remember him. Or Harry exploding in Dumbledores office, I likes some good angst
Prisoner of Azkaban kinda.. They hardly ever wore robes which bugged me.. But Hermione slapping Draco *teehehe* I don't really like the actor for Remus but I can't suggest someone else to play him.. So I'll shut up there. Harrison Ford as Remus! Not
Goblet of Fire wasn't that bad.. They changed things around a little bit. The maze really annoyed me but hey.. I'll live.. I'm just a book maniac. Then I don't like the actor that played Cedric *waits to be killed by almost everyone* in my opinion but.. Viktor was better looking then Cedric and it was supposed to be the other way around. Also the Portkey made me.. Angst a bit.
Sorcerers/Philosphers Stone, wasn't that bad but.. I don't think they left much out. 'cept Harry meeting Draco in Madam Malkins, but that wasn't exactly important (unless your really into detail with the books, like me) they also switched the part where Draco dissed the Weasley's first..
Chamber of Secrets was actually pretty good.. Other then the fact that I got nightmares the first 2-3 times I watched it.. The basilisk was nice, and the spiders were just plain creepy. (arachnophobia is evil)
Kay.. I'm officially crazy, but that's my out look on things..

For me, the newer films aren't as good as the older ones.
HBP-good film, but missed out too much scenes I really wanted to see on screen, and they changed Harry and Ginny's first kiss D:
OotP-Too much revolved around umbridge for me, wasn't that good :/
And Gof-missed way to much out, just wasn't that good for me tbh.
My favourite will always be the first and second ones. Where they're so cute and really stick to the book.
I guess if I wasn't so into the books I wouldn't have any problems with the movies, but I suppose I just like things perfect

They should redo the first two movies. The acting and directing was just not good enough. However, I hope eventually someone will redo the series somewhere down the road!!

I would say, Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince.
Order of the Phoenix is indeed the longest book, so it's obvious that they left out a lot of things! The new characters were not introduced properly. Like Tonks, they didn't even tell some things about her, knowing that she'll be playing a major role being a committed part of the Order until the last book!
In Half Blood Prince, it seems to be boring for me. Cause there are also a lot of things that were left. In particular, Dumbledore's Funeral. What on earth came to their minds of leaving that one out? I think it's one of the most awaited part in the book, that was not shown in the film. So disappointing...
I just hope they'll not leave anything out for the last film, I mean, it's the last one. So I think they should satisfy the people by following all the scenes in the book. Or even having more additional scenes that will make the movie the greatest of all. Being divided into 2 parts, I'm really looking forward to see a very amazing Grand Finale of HP. |

Hmm definitely Order of the Phoenix. The movie was boring, I know I saw it twice at the cinema's-one time was the premiere- and there were too many things missing. I think they need to redo it and add in some of the things that they missed out like the important character descriptions and stuff.

Order of the Phoenix, I made the mistake of reading it before seeing the movie. Just remake that whole movie and I'll be happy (okay, maybe too harsh). They did alright with introducing Umbridge and emphasizing how evil she was, and Luna was excellent. I also wanted to see more of Dumbledore's Army fighting at the Ministry before the adults took over.
HBP was alright, they really could have taken out the unnecessary scenes (Harry with the Waitress, maybe the Burrow scene) and recreate the ones that were actually in the book. I wanted to see more Harry/Ginny interacting besides them staring at each other barely saying anything. They also made Ginny look like she was cheating on Dean since they never mentioned them breaking up before they kissed.

I've only read the first page of replies, but it shocks me that the majority said PoA... PoA was probably one of my favorite HP movies. The only change I'd make to it is possibly adding more on the Marauders.
I vote for GoF, if they were to redo one. At least they got Harry's hair right? It's like, perfectly untidy. Haha.

I personally love PoA. I think it focuses on an entirely different side to HP than any of the other movies. Its much darker and more human. You can see the emotional ties between the characters really developing.
Although words cannot describe how much it annoys me that they left out the Marauders and Lupin never explained to Harry about his father and the stag patronus. But the scene with Lupin and Harry talking on the bridge where Lupin talks to Harry about his mother I found incredibly touching. Although it would have been nice for him to talk about James a little...
And the end annoyed me with the weird blurry face thing.
But all things considered it is one of my favorite films.
In the all the films Dan's eyes really irratate me and the fact they never get Harrys hair untidy!

The relationships are over-focused in my opinion, they let down so many exciting sub-plots. I admit that the adventure with Dumbledore was perfect, but Hogwarts was not the Hogwarts we know. |

Whats with all the POA hate? Its probably my favorite one of the movies, at least until DH pt2. I do have a problem with how they portrayed the werewolf though. from reading the book 5, I got the impression that werewolves were very similar real wolves.
But, I think that they should fix HBP. That movie was horrible! there was no battle at the astronomy tower, and they didn't show the diadem. The romance between Harry and Ginny was way too much, and the extra scene at the Burrow was just stupid.

Although i like HBP I felt like it dragged on in some places, and I just skipped to the action packed scenes, rather than watching the whole movie - sometimes. An i feel Cormac, didn't shine as much. The cave scene was , EH, i could handle it but there was something missing

I don't think any of the movies need to be redone entirely, but I would have liked it if they had added more detail about the Marauders and that whole scene where Lupin and Sirius are explaining everything to Harry in the Shrieking Shack in POA. I just felt like it was so rushed and I felt like if I hadn't read the book ahead of time I might be a bit confused.

i'm surprised so many people didn't like PoA. i thought that was the best movie!
OoP was horrible. sorry, i'm not trying to sound mean but...it was really, really bad. that book was so intense, so emotionally driven, and the movie did not portray that enough. the dialogue was lacking, and so much of it was too rushed. i get that it was a huge book, but because of all the things they left out, the people making DH are going to have to pick up a lot of slack to explain everything. like Mundugus wasn't even in the movie, and we all know that he plays a pretty important part in DH. and they didn't include the chapter after sirius dies and dumbledore explains everything. seriously! that was probably the most important part in the whole book, and it wasn't in the movie!

I really think that GoF realy needs to be redone. It left out a lot of major details and adventures during the maze scene.
