I think all the movies are great, but if I had to pick one, I would go with GoF. They left out a lot of important things, and I think they could have improved on a few scenes.

I definitely think OOtP. They did a great job squeezing such a huge book into a movie, but they left out a lot of stuff.

Honestly, all of them! As a fan of the literature primarily, I realize it's almost impossible to include every aspect of the books in the film adaptations. SS, CoS, and DH Part 1 did a decent job capturing many things from the book, but there were still a lot of gripes.

I think that the only way to see this story be remade properly is if it were produced in a different format. A mini-series would work well, or maybe even one that is entirely cgi animated like The Clone Wars and is released in episodic format. I just don't think a live-action movie that is constrained to be under 3 hours long and has a budget in the hundreds of millions is feasible for creating faithful adaptations.

3-5 I think
what was up with the scene in goblet of fire where the other schools come into the great hall and do some sort of choreographed dance?? that was the weirdest and lamest thing i've ever seen...could've done without that and put a scene in that was actually in the book..

honestly i think what screwed up movies 3-5 was they were playing to the movie audience..they thought all these tween girls would think certain scenes and dialogue they put in would be cool...they should have been playing to readers of the book and i think they forgot that...

Goblet of Fire. I'm surprised so many people are saying PoA, because I found that movie to be one of the best at following the story. Goblet of Fire was just ridiculous, I still don't like that movie. One of the best parts of it was the incorporation of the house-elves, which they completely wrote out. I liked Winky's role! Also, the third task was just a fail. I really wanted to see the sphinx, etc. etc. The cemetery scene was pretty good, though.

100% true... that movie needs a lot of work!!! Also, I think they're messing up DH Part 2 by killing Snape in a Glass Boathouse...... honestly? That death in the Shrieking Shack was classic. Just classic. But that's what producers and directors do..... take great books and ruin them until they are oddly shaped into things you can watch!!! It's just sad =(

I have a few....from a Snape perspective (sorry....need to stick up for my boy)

The first one... not 'redo' but add the scene where you have Snape's challenge for heaven's sake! Maybe Snape was right about wizards being kind of ignorant....

I have a funny feeling I might be saying the last film.....considering how I'm reading all the changes that were made to "The Prince's Tale" and other major plot elements. That clip with Harry confronting Snape (which is online on youtube). What the name of Merlin's baggy y-fronts.......... ok......calm down.....(okay, I'm a nut)

As much as I do like HPB, the changes they made rendered the movie incomprehensible to those who didn't read the books, IMHO. I have to rewatch it, but were Snape's parents even mentioned besides a....poof....mumble mumble about them in passing? Plus, the body binding curse might have been better instead of that Harry 'omg' look. Getting rid of the 'coward' line which was a staple just rubbed me the wrong way.

GoF was raked enough, so not going there. lol

Sorry about the rant. Carry on.....'now' (had to sneak that in there)

They should redo HBP. That movie was.. well, I can't even call it average. All the good scenes from the book were taken out, the less interesting scenes keeped, and a few completely uncannon scenes added. I was shocked when I saw it in the theater. It was terrible compared to the book, which was one of my favourite ones in the series. the HBP film really dissapointed me, and that's why I think it needs to be redone.

There is so many things I didn't like about the Order of the Phoenix and I really wanted to cry when I heard Yates was going to direct the rest of them because I don't like what he took out of the movies.

I say 3-6 maybe- but OOTP- they left out the important bit where Aunt Petuina was talking about The Dementors and Voldermort return- because i think for those who havnt read the book will see another side of Harry aunt! but other than that i think the film should have been 161 minutes long enough because it a huge book with alot of infomation, movie 3-4 and 6 could have been a bit better or even spilt into two parts like they were going to do, 3rd film was very short and it was out of place even with the firebolt part which i thought was very cheesy and lame it ruined the movie alot!!!!! Molly should have been included in the 4th movie!! also i think they should have her showing fighting boggarts- would have been nice to see a moment of her and harry.

films 1, 2 and 4 are a real embarrassment on the rest of the films which, in my humble opinion, are really dark and subtle, and did justice to the books. 1, 2 and 4 had such bad scripts even the best actors couldn't do a good job with them. they're just riddled with stupid things british people would NEVER say such as "holy cricket".

2 and 3 do not do justice to the books-the 'feeling' isn't there.

One scene they NEED to redo is in HBP when Harry kisses Ginny!
I got so excited waiting for that film, when he'd walk into the crowded common room and just 'take' her! It's every girls dream (well my dream!). Instead they get the awkward kiss in the Room of Req. I just don't understand why they changed it!

I Can Accept Failure. But I Can't Accept Not Trying

PoA and GoF both need some work. Don't think it'll happen unless someone re does the whole series *doubtful*

They should DEFF redo Half-Blood Prince. UGH! That was TERRIBLE, TERRRRIIIBBBLLEEE.

1)First off, where in the book was Harry in a subway?
2) Where was the pensieve about Voldemort's parents?
3) Harry and Ginny DID NOT kiss in the room of requirement they kissed in the gryffindor common room
4) Bonnie Wright's acting was and I was like this
5) the girl who played Lavender was funny at some parts, but other parts annoying as heck!
6) The Weasley's house DOES NOT catch on fire!
7) I'm pretty sure Percy was suppose to be at the Weasleys then?

Those are just a few reasons I was angry while watching this film.

(on a positive note) BUT two parts I really did enjoy was Hermione crying over Ron and the birds attacking him. And the scene in the hospital wing when he was calling for Hermione. THAT was good acting and it was adorable

I hate you all for saying POA! Best film in the entire saga most definitely!

I don't think they should redo any movie. I love them all. The only thing I would do to change them is to add scenes and important bits in the books that were missed out on. Like the little things I LOVED in the books but never played a part in the films!

I ABSOLUTELY agree! POA is a classic!

HBP--I hate the fact that they put in scenes that weren't in the book while leaving other things out, and I think the confrontation between Harry and Snape at the end was a bit of a let-down, and not nearly as exciting as the way it's written in the book.

i defiantly agree with 1-6.
especially 3!
it was horrible!! they left out so much stuff i was so disappointed!
like the main part that i was not happy at all was when he first meets Sirus and they explain every detail of what happened. they kinda just skipped everything. like it never gets mentioned that those four created the maurders map ever.
the rest did need some help too. i HATE how they just change stuff and do it their way instead.
everyone says its because they needed to fit it all in to a shorter movie.. but im sorry you dont need to change stuff.. and us TRUE fans honestly dont care how long it is. just get it RIGHT!
