Hey Guys.....
Yes the Movies are great but they cant cover all the details of the Books. So my question for you, What was your most dissappointing Cut from each movie???

1(SS) Probably when trying access the Stone, Harry has to discern a Potions Puzzle setup by Snape.

2(COS) Honestly, I cant think of one. But I'd love to hear yours.

3(POA) Hermoine being present at the Lake (With Sirius & Harry) when the hundreds of Dementors attack.

4(GOB) Mr. Weasley trashing the Dursley's sitting room, HA!

5(OOTP) Harry trashing Dumbledore office & Dumbledore lengthy explanation.

1. i agrue they should of had the potion puzzle!
2. ginny going out and kill the chickens..
3. i argue again that hermione should have been with harry and sirus

5. i was super excited for harry trashing dumbledore office and quiddage i love watching quiddage!

1) Lavendar and Parvati not being cast as regulars like, Neville, Dean and Seamus.

2) Valentine's Day which gives us Ginny's crush, and all the "suspects" such as Draco, Percy and Lockhart seeing Harry with the diary. It also shows how Ginny knew he had it leading to the search of his dormitory.

3) The proper plot and characters! Oh, only one, I guess Sirius breaking into the dorm searching for Scabbers/Pettigrew.

4) The Weasleys breaking through the Dursley's fireplace and the Ton Tonne Toffee

5) Ginny!!!! I would have loved to see "Lucky You!" or "Chocolate in the Library". I can't split those two.

Hmmm Ginny killing the Chickens..... I forgot about that one.

1- Hm. I'd say meeting Harry meeting Malfoy in Madam Malkin's
2- Nick's Deathday party, hands down. Main reason why I went to see it and they flippin' left it out.
3- Gryffindor Quidditch Cup win. also tied into the fact that they threw in the Firebolt bit at the end instead of at Christmas like it should've been.
4- WINKY. A fantastically more complicated story with her. Takes all the flavor out of that loopy Crouch story.
5- The prefects. Wouldn't have hurt to include that part about Hermione and Ron becoming prefects.
6- Hah. We know what's been omitted, but it remains to be seen which is the most disappointing

The Gaunts, off the top of my head. There's more, too

1 - Harry meeting Malfoy in Madame Malkin's.
2 - Nick's Death Day party. That was like my favourite part in that book.
3 - All the Quidditch stuff, having a proper Cedric Diggory at the time.
4 - The complete World Cup. I thought that their just do the begining deal was really pathetic.
5 - Showing that Ron and Hermione are Prefects and the swamp the Weasley twins left behind before they flew away from Hogwarts.

1. Harry meeting Malfoy in Madame Malkin's.
2. Can't really think of.. maybe Nick's Death Day party.
3. Marauders backstory.
4. Mr. Weasley trashing the Dursley's sitting room & the Ton-Tongue Toffee part.
5. Harry trashing Dumbledore's office & the Two-Way mirror.

so many cuts from HBP.
especially Tonk's part at the train and at the last part.

and many more form each movie.. i just can't remembe rit now..

There were so many cuts, but I really wanted to see Harry trashing Dumbledore's office. I really wanted to see the first and last part of every book, which they always cut.

1) Harry meeting Malfoy in Madamn Malkins
2) Ginnys Valintine poem to Harry
3) Hermione being at the lake with Harry and Sirius
4) The ending where Harry,Ron,and Hermione jinx Malfoy all at once
5) The trip to St. Mungos

For me, the saddest cuts were Valentine's Day in COS, the Marauders back-story and Quidditch final in POA and meeting Lockhart in St. Mungo's in OOTP.

Ooh I forgot about Lockhart! That would have been funny

Ok here's my top 5

1) Harry not meeting Malfoy in Madame Malkins
2) The trip to St. Mungos which would have shown Neville's parents
3) McGonagall taking Harry's new broom for investigation
4) Seeing the baby wizard on his toy broom in GOF
5) Harry giving the twins his Triwizard money

1st movie: Potions Scene and the Potion Puzzle
2nd movie: The Death Day Party
3rd movie: Definitely when Sirius got into the Gryffindor common room
4th movie: Oh. I thought the fourth movie was terrible. I liked when Snape & Igor were checking for stray students, but of course...
5th movie: Snape's memories

I know, a lot to do with Snape, but he is a pretty important character. They should definitely have more Minerva M. too!

Yeah, I totally agree with you.I love that scen in POA when they win the cup, I love the line "harry wished there was a dementor around, he felt he could have produced the world's best patronus" *tear tear*.

For OotP I agree with you on the prefects, and also, what about the mirror? Doesn't everyone agree that was such a big part? They had that stupid scene wher harry is sitting on his bed holding his sweater, they couldn't have put in the mirror? And the talk between albus and Harry should have been longer.

4. the end part of the book 4 where dumbledore told that snape and sirius should forget the past bcoz they are now in one league... the preview of the new formation of order of the phoenix... where mrs weasley and the rest was shocked when the big black dog in hospital wing guarding harry was sirius... appearance of charles and billy weasley, i'm longing to see them...
5. i agree the prefect ones, where harry get a tid bits of jealousy coz on instead of him became the prefect...

2. Deathday Party
3. Quidditch Cup
4. World Cup obviously
5. Quidditch/Umbridge Plot, more for harry and F/G to do or Mungo's
6. IT HAS TO BE THE FUNERAL! WTFBBQ DID THEY TAKE IT OUT FOR!

Yeah. if you didn't read the books, a lot of stuff wouldn't make sense.

I also don't like how they cut revealing who the Marauders are in PoA. Isn't that pretty important?

And I know they can't include everything, but at least put in stuff that should be there!

And for HBP....
[spoiler]I hear they cut the Battle of Hogwarts because there's another in DH, and yet they added a scene in the beginning (attack on the Burrow) because there wasn't enough action! There's not enough fighting because you cut the fighting scene, duh! And there's the first part of DH that will come before the @nd part, in which the Batlle ofHogwarts will most likely be. SO there's another movie to seperate them. I think it's just a sorry escuse.[/spoiler]

Well, now that i'm done ranting......

1) The Potions test to get to the stone, I thought that was really good! Maybe they cut it out because it contained too much logic for a 'kids' film =\
2) This had I think the least amount of significant cuts (thus it's my fave movie ) but I think Ginny and the chickens would have been good.
3) Erm... the Marauders plot would be nice.
4) Again, Winky? An actual Quidditch World cup?
5) The trip to Mungos was left out

I think they spend way too much time adding things in. Now I know they can't fit the entire books in but what annoys me is they take things out and add stuff in that wasn't even in the books!! [/explode]

I couldn't agree with you more.

I hate looking at the DVD special features, and finding additional scenes that so totally were short enough to be added in, like another two minutes would really matter, and since they filmed it anyway....

Like the scene in PoA when Black sneaks into Gryffindor tower, and there's the Sir Cadogan bit..... and there were a lot of things cut out of CoS

1. Uncle Vernon seeing all the wizards celebrating because Voldemort is "dead" and thinking they're just oddly dressed lunatics walking around Surrey.

3. Harry getting the Firebolt for Christmas
4. Charlie and Bill and the Ton Tongue Toffee
5. Quidditch or the trip to St. Mungo's

I really wanted to see Qudditch in the 5th one. and in The 4th one when Hermione kisses Harry on the Cheek.
