I saw an interview with jk and she said she was asked to be lily in the mirror scene of PS.

I most certainly would not have wanted to see J.K. Rowling as Lily. First off, she's the author, yes? She CREATED this world, therefore isn't part of this world. =P Perhaps this is just me but in Twilight, Stephenie Mayer had a cameo and that unnerved me. I tend to believe that an author ought not be in the movie of their own book. Maybe that's just me.
Plus... she doesn't look like Lily, in my mind. First off, I think Lily was much younger. =P Rowling seems... fierce to me. Not like mean or anything, but just fierce. Strong and powerful whereas I always saw Lily with a more gentle personality? xD

This is another reason I love JK Rowling. She's proper down to earth and realised how ridiculous it would be for the author to pop up so obviously in the film. Stephenie Meyer take note!

Mhm. I agree. I think it'd be really idiotic putting the author in the movie. First off, to me, Lily looks nothing like JK Rowling and second, it would just be weird for me to see her in one of the films because she doesn't really fit into any character descriptions in my mind. I loved the actress who played Lily before and I think that they should definetly use her again.

She was right to decline.When I envision Lily Potter,I see a young-looking woman who is very feminine.JK Rowling seems a little too old to play the part of a such character.....
I could possibly see her as a professor.
Someone said that JK Rowling created this world,and shouldn't be a part of it.
However in a way she kind of is,as the genius behind the world of Harry Potter.
But,If her appearence was like Stephenie Meyer's in the Twilight movie,short and sweet,that'd be another thing.

Did you not get the feeling that Meyers appearance was a bit "Look its me! The author!". Like she was right up front and they even said her name. It felt really... badly done, I don't know.

J.K. Rowling made a good choice i think, and she doesn't have naturally red hair. She doesn't fit the part. I don't like the actor picked to play Lily too much. She doesn't look like i pictured, and Harry's dad looked WAAAAYYYYY to old in the mirror... does anyone agree??
