I read that J.K. Rowling originally wanted him to direct the Potter films, or just the first one, and he himself even stated that he was "the perfect Harry Potter director"

Seeing that only makes me very curious on how he would have done the movies. Would it have been at all similar to one of the existing ones or would it have been entirely different than anyone who directed it? I am also guessing it might have been closer to Rowling's vision had he done it if she wanted him, which would be interesting.

I am not all that familliar with his work, though, so i can't quite say, but does anyone else at all know how he might have done it?

Rowling was wrong about him, I think. He disliked the first two Harry Potter movies so much that he insulted them. His movies would have been dark and gloomy with no humor.
