Graduated | See, I liked Luna in the movies. She was very pretty, but I was worried that they wouldn't find someone like Luna at all, so I was pleased that they were well over half way there. I always thought that Luna would be such a difficult character to cast, anyway. |

Stacy Emma Ross Magical Transportation | Tough question.. I agree that they are all good... But I need to say in
Chamber of Secrets that Malfoy's character seemed to be acting too
old for his age... Especially when he is in Slytherin common room with
Crabbe and Goyle (Ron & Harry).. Don't get me wrong .. Tom Felton
is a great actor... and it shows in the other movies.. |

The only acting I must of dispised through out the films (so far) is Daniel's fake crying in POA. |

I don't think Michael Gambon is a terrible actor. In fact, I think he's a pretty decent actor, but I don't think he suits the part of Dumbledore thus far, what with running around giving everyone shaken baby syndrome. I used to answer Emma Watson to this question because, as much as I like her, she's never been a fantastic actress. But I really think my answer would be Tom Felton. He looks like a good Draco, but he's really a terrible actor. Which sucks, because Draco's character becomes so much more important in Half Blood Prince, and they've sort of shoved him into the background for the last two movies or so. | shaken baby syndrome!
I think Richard Harris was suitable for Dumbledore; for me he looked quite as ancient as he should have looked. Dumbledore was over a hundred when he died. |

I guess I have to live with that because he's the one who plays him... so | Ditto. I'm sorry everyone, but Dan is considered the worst for me too. Like you said, he not emotional enough. His expressions are sometimes too blank. That crying scene in PoA....*cringes*...I just felt awkward when that part came. It look and sounded so fake. I didn't feel the "caps-lock-Harry" in OotP,but I admit he is getting a bit better, but it's taking FOREVER! And Emma's a close second. Sorry. But she's not a Hermione. *sigh* But that's Hollywood....glamorize everything.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Luke Winters Sixth Year | I don't like the dude who plays Dumbledore. He's just too...not like the character. He's too loud and sharp and he can't scream without his voice cracking up.
I also don't like the lady who played Professor Umbridge. She was too, pretty looking. I mean she looked nothing like the way JK desribed her. But admitedly, she did play the part well. She just didn't look it. |

Corvus Lupin Magical Creatures | I have two as well.
Harry's parents for one, they were, in fact too old. JKR said that Harry's parents were like really young (20 ish) not 37 or 40 (which is what they did look like)
Also I don't really like the new Albus, the one who did the first two was more happy and more..... well Albus like. Unlike the new Dumbie who is WAY too serious, he should tone it down a little after all he is playing the most frekin cheerfull wizard in the books! |

Graduated | I think they seriously messed up with most of the new casting in GoF, especially with Karkaroff and Viktor Krum. It wasn't even their looks that were way off-canon, but their portrayal of the characters. Totally wrong.
Then again, given the rest of GoF, I suppose it's not a big surprise... |

Liliana Hayman Magical Transportation | I can't say I agree with everyone here, but I agree with quite a bit of it.
First, theres the guy who now plays Dumbledore. He really does seem to agressive.
Alan Rickman, I like. When I first saw the first few movies he really fit my version of Snape. Mainly because I didn't like him, and Rickman always plays the bad guys.
The actor for Hagrid is good, I just don't like how he seems smaller then how he does in the book.
As for Lily and James. It's disappointing. I don't know which year they were born or died right off the bad. but it was close to 1980, and Fred dyed in 1997 (book timeline) so if they if they were aging even in death it's about right. JKR never made that happen.
Radcliffe is well suited for it, other then the crying scene...but the best movie with him in is PS, he just seemed so innocent, now it's like he's trying to hard. Which is what tends to ruin it for me.
Fleur should of been prettier, but the girl who played her does it well. |

Also Bonnie Wright, i don't care what anyone else thinks but i just don't like her.
And the person that is portraying 'Cissy in HBP..she is so wrong...i have fallen out BIG TIME with warner bros...but i'm still seeing all the movies lol

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sarah Willows First Year | I have to say that because I watched the movies first and then read the book its really hard for me to say....but the james and Lilly in OotP are ridiculous!! First of all the Weasely's are supposed to be quite a bit older than the Potter's but when they show the pic of the original OotP they look darn near the same age.........Stupid and not at all thinking were they!! So if your listening power's that be you really need to work on the re-cast before the 7th movie when they all appear to help Harry walk into the Forbidden Forrest and face Voldemort. Cause from every logic I know you don't age when you die......otherwise the hogwarts ghosts would have to look positively ancient!! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | As of the last few movies it is definately Emma Watson, which is a pity because she was so good in the first movie.
What happened? Was it the scripts or her interpretation of the character?
All I know is that her performance as Hermione spoils the last three movies for me. |

Teal Andrus Magical Creatures | The guy that plays Mad-Eye-Moody is SOOO FAAAR from what I thought his charecter was. The looks are so far off, his magical eye is strapped on?? WHAT??? Never said that in the books I'm almost sure.
plus he tries to be way to funny and Moody is one of the most businesslike charecters in the book. Horrible casting there in my opinion.
the guy that plays Dumbledore now is pretty back too. I liked the guy in PS and CoS a ton more. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | No offence, but Katie Leung (Cho Chang) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), were just too wrong for their parts. Katie Leung can't talk properly (and I'm not saying that because she has a Scottish accent) and I think Bonnie Wright can't play up the part of fiery temptress Ginny (in HBP, when she was dating all over the place). |

Special Ops | I agree that Lily and James look too old in the movies, and James's hair looks really light. Seeing as they don't appear too much and aren't major parts, they wouldn't be my #1 worst.
That spot I'm afraid has to go to...*drum roll*...Michael Gambon! He is nothing like Dumbledore. I just want to shake him like he did Harry in GoF and say, "This is acting. You need to ACT like Dumbledore!" (Ugh, plus that goofy hat and wearing his beard in a ponytail. 'Nough said.) |

| Emma Watson - I just ... *sigh* I don't think she's that good of an actress. And she's too emotional for Hermione for me. I dunno. Something's off.
Gary Oldman - I always pictured Sirius looking younger, even though he would be, what? in his mid-40s? I dunno. I love Gary Oldman, I think he's great, but I just don't love him as Sirius. Sirius is my favorite character and I have him pictured a VERY specific way and Gary Oldman just doesn't fit it.
Daniel Radcliffe - I don't think he can act at all. So sue me. I love him, but ... eh. Just not as Harry Potter.
Michael Gambon - He's too ... eager to play Dumbledore. But I don't think the first actor (name is slipping my mind) played Dumbledore well, either. He wasn't too attached to the character whereas I think Gamdon is too attached to Dumbledore ... lol. I dunno, maybe I'm just picky.
And I agree with Lily and James Potter. They just don't fit at all. |

I also agree about Lily & James Potter. |
