| Dan, Emma & Rupert After Harry Potter Out of Daniel, Emma and Rupert; who do you think will be more successful after they have finished with Harry Potter?
Or do you think all the mad hp hype will put them off acting?
Give me your thoughts on what this trio will do after being Harry, Hermione and Ron. |

| Rupert I would say. Emma would be second. Dan *might* have a chance, but that's if no one recognizes him without the glasses. |

| Well hasn't Rupert already done some other stuff outside of the HP projects? Like tv and such? I think that they will all probably go on and do some great things, but it will be pretty tough for them because they will probably all be seen as 'Harry', 'Hermione' and 'Ron' for a long time. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Thunderpants, Molesworth + TV appearances and possibly 'Driving Lessons', so yes, Rupert has. That's because he's had more free time though because 1) He's not as central as Harry and 2) Because he finished school last June/July (2004). |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | ^ Stuff I highlighted above. He did Molesworth (A radio narrative show), did stuff for Comic Relief (charity), judged at a kid's awards show and is in talks to do a film with Julie Walters called, 'Driving Lessons'. |

| Mr. Grint I definately think it will be Rupert. I don't know if it is because he's like one of my favorite actors now, but he's just got a great presence, and a wonderful comedic talent. Dan might be looked at as Harry for a long time, but Rupert is already branching out, and he's being accepted very well in all that he's doing. Really can't say about Emma. |

| if you look at the odds now Rupert seems to be doing the best out of all of them, just coz he made that thunderpants film (which was the biggest load of rubbish i have ever seen) and he has signed up for another 1 but i don't remember the name.
in the first 2 films rupert was much better than the rest but n POA Emma and Dan have just blew rupert out the water. I really hope they make other really good films. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Thunderpants wasn't the best film ever, but neither does it try to be that. Point is, Rupert's acting in it, was marvellous. So, different yet so brilliant. And he's doing 'Driving Lessons' (which starts filming this month) with Julie Walters and Laura Linney.
I think Rupert and Emma were the best in PoA personally. Although Emma was better in PS when her character was a bit more accurate. But she's still a brilliant actress even if the character is slightly distorted. |

| Yes, exactly! Thunderpants wasn't the best of movies, but it's not suppose to be. It's sort of a B movie, cult favourite type of film. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a cult hit after Rupert's career really takes off after HP. Think Susan Surrendon in Rocky Horror Picture Show. And Driving Lessons will be a good film with Julie Walters in it. She picks good movies. We'll get to see much drama from Rupert too.
And him taking the inicative to get other projects under his belt shows that he'll have a chance outside of the HP films. It's very smart of him to do this... give people the chance to see him as someone other than Ron. Quote: |

| I agree. And I think Emma has gotten really good since SS/PS. I don't like when people put down the acting because the character is not cannon. People do that to Rupert, and it's not fair. But it's the little things that the actors do... facial expressions, how they react in scenes, etc. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | I re-watched PoA just the other day and Rupert's performance in the CoMC scene was just genius. The little facial expressions and movement of the eyes. And the way he pushed Harry Awesome. A non-canon character doesn't mean the actor isn't good; I think Rupert and Emma did brilliantly with what was a bit of a dodgy hand in regards to some of their lines. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Edith (Edie) Santiere Fourth Year Ministry RPG Name:
Anita Imogen Volt Magical Transportation | I see Rupert being the most successful post Harry Potter. His comedic acting and versaltility could easily take him places. I see Dan directing or producing as well as acting, Emma could be the next Emma Thompson or Miranda Richardson or scriptwriting. Rupert would continue acting.
That is what I think. |

| They've all grown so much as actors that my first reaction is that they'll all do well, but in separate areas. Dan and Rupert first, as they seem to be branching off from HP more than Emma.
Contrary to most of the opinions here, I think Dan's role as Harry will help him, especially in the beginning. HP brought endless success to everyone in the process, and as most will already know who he is, it may give him a head start, name-wise.
Rupert will no doubt be successful in acting, but I see him taking it slower, being a little more cautious, and maybe even shying away from the press, while Dan and Emma seem to embrace it. I visualize Rupert coming into the industry with more of a Orlando Bloom- or Jake Gyllenhaal-type chemistry.
As for Emma, wasn't it Dan that complimented her vocals in one interview? I see her as doing to Lindsay Lohan-type scene; she's so beautiful, a perfect role model for young girls, and I see her as making cute, fun movies while putting together catchy records. |

| Oh, definitely. It's the little things that seperate a good actor from a bad actor. If people paid attention to some of that, I think they'd realize what seperates Dan and Rupert. Sure, Dan can smile on que and yell on que, but it's the little things that count. Like inside the Shrieking Shack... he doesn't have any reaction to the stuff going on, he just sort of stands there. That bugs me. This is why I'm against the argument that he's just playing a complicated character... because it's not even that. It's just him standing there doing nothing. Rupert and Emma... if you watch both of them, they're very good at showing emotion in a scene. Just watch Rupert as Buckbeak is being "executed". His expressions are marvelous. Then watch Emma... Then watch Dan... he just sort of stands there doing nothing but have the same expression throughout the whole scene. This is why I fear so badly for the graveyard scene. What makes that scene is the acting. From what we heard, the scenary is there, and I have no doubt the writing will be there, but the acting will seal it. But I can't expect much from Dan... And Ralph Finnese's (sp?) lack of compliments concerning Dan's acting doesn't alievate my fears. |

| Ralph hasn't spoken much but his comments aren't lacking. Quote:
"He's just a charming young man, very helpful. I think it must be very difficult for young actors when they are part of this incredible franchise, and there's such pressure and exposure, and certainly Daniel seems to be keeping it together."
"He's just a very charming person. I'm sure any of you can imagine that a young person can be affected very negatively by that, but he's a very good actor on the set. He does very well in the studio."
