North End of the streetHere you'll find the Leaky Cauldron, Paradise Piercings & Tattoos, Slug and Jiggers, Madame Malkins, TerrorTours, Florean Fortescues, Quality Quidditch Supplies and Scribbulus Ever Changing Inks.
Diagon Alley runs along a crooked, narrow street. Along the North End, of course, are the shopfronts. Large glass windows display hot items, special objects, advertise for sales, and encourage people to come in. The path is incredibly tight and overhangs of buildings on either side threaten to touch the building across from it. People walk packed together, as they try to maneuver around groups of people, vending carts, and holes in the cobble road. Be careful of doors opening so that you don’t walk into them by accident.
Outside the Leaky Cauldron entrance is a large, outlandish fountain which threatens to take up the walk. Once one gets around the fountain, the path tightens and the surge of people begins. Bump, jostle, and nudge people as you move around – it’s okay, really. Balconies and overhangs create a bright array of color as one meanders down the street. The noise level is cluttered – yelling comes from the hawkers, from the food vendors, from people calling to one and other. Much like a festival, the atmosphere is nearly tangible; electric and festive. Don’t forget to close your eyes and breathe in. Popcorn, kebabs, soup, bread; so many food smells fill the air with a pungent scent.

Well, if the scene Ryoma was causing wasn't attracting the attention of a Healer then nothing would. CLEARLY this meant that there was no Healer in the area, so he would have a better shot at finding someone...elsewhere.
Arms high above his head again, Ryoma continued his chicken with its head cut off dance as he ran down the street and further away from the Leaky Cauldron. He turned down a random alley and was gone.

Too busy with the letter in front of him, Oliver didn't take much notice of the screaming man. Yeah he heard something about a baby but that was about it.
He lowered the letter and looked at Althea. "I'm pretty sure this is genuine." he said, holding it out to her. No self respecting prankster would write something like that. "When you pull a prank on someone you want to see their expression, you know? There would be no point to it otherwise." He pointed to the letter. "It's a risk sending a prank letter because who's to say where the person is going to open it? They might read it in privacy. And the words are pretty thought out."
Did that help?
And she was right. He didn't send it. And never in a million years would he send something like that.
Oh? That sounded interesting.
"The day is still young Althea." Although with the way they were going they were never going to get a drink. "Lead the way fair lady." Hehe.
"As long as you don't." She didn't care why he might want to. Althea waited impatiently, arms folded as he read the thing.
At his verdict, Althea sighed quietly and took the thing back. It would almost be better were it a prank, then she could go on a manhunt and make everything right again. She folded the note and put it in her pocket without another glance.
"Well then." Well then she would ignore that for now in favour of Oliver who was a pleasant distraction despite the Wizarding World apparently conspiring against them today.
"So it is. Brace yourself, Oliver Jenkins." Althea caught his arm up and this time it was her turn to apparate them out of there. Nobody would disturb them at her place, they could talk in private there.

Actually his original reason to be in the Diagon Alley was that he had felt like visiting Ollivanders for a particular reason during the night before yet about an hour ago when he was right in front of the wand shop, suddenly he had decided that he was not going to do it or, to be exact, he was not going to be able to do it. So before he could change his mind again, the young man walked away as far as possible from the place finally finding himself standing next to an empty bench in the north side of the alley...safely away from Ollivanders. Though, his right hand was still closed on the leather wand holster he had as he silently watched the crowd pass by, left and right.
It was hard to notive that he could see no underage person in the streets which made him let out a sigh as, for some reason, he wished he had still been a student. Life was easier that way. Okay maybe he still had had problems when in school but they were stuff like detention and a broken heart. No one was after him to end his life. Shaking the idea out his mind, Josh tucked his hands into his pockets finally managing take his hand off the holster. He did not know if deciding agaist removing that name from his wand was a smart decision so he was still...uncertain.

Only one month into their worldwind holiday and there had been an emergency at the wand shop that Nikolai worked at. His boss had taken ill and Nik had to quickly fill in until the replacement arrived. Mia was not bothered, she knew that they would be back to travelling in no time.
Although it was rather boring for her while Nik was at work, so she decided to check out Diagon Alley. There wasn't anything she particularly needed but it was better than sitting at home by herself.
She had no particular destination in mind but her feet just seemed to be gravitating towards the Leaky and just as she was passing by a bench seat, Mia did a double take of the young man that was standing there.

"Josh?"
Josh was seemingly watching and staring at the crowd yet apparently he was not seeing anything, his mind being full of thoughts as he had no idea that a very familiar person, an old friend, was approaching. He was motionless and unaware until he heard his name being said which made him look around quickly.
And his dark brown eyes caught the girl before he could recognise the voice.
''Mia?'' he responded, his expression making it obvious that he was surprised to see her. He thought she got married and left...somehwere as her husband was a foreign guy or something. Once the shock of seeing her was over though, he managed a smile and took a step closer to her. ''I...well...how are you?'' did that sound weird? ''Sorry. I was not expecting to see you, to be honest.''

Was it just her or did Josh look rather out of it? He had appeared a million miles away when she had first spotted him and not it was as though he didn't recognise her.
Mia's eyebrows shot up when he spoke but a small laugh bubbled out of her mouth. "Did you think that just because I got married that I was never to be seen again?" Well okay she and Nik have kind of hibernated since she had left school but she would never forget her friends.
She moved forward and gave the ex-Gryffindor a huge hug. "I'm good." she said, pulling back a little so that she could look at Josh's face. "But more importantly, how are you? You seemed a little out of it a minute ago. Everything alright?"

Because she got married, she was never to be seen again? ''Well, as irrational as it is, it seems i got that impression for some reason.'' But, on the other hand, where was his mind anyway? It was always wandering off so it never came to the possibility that he might happen to see an old friend.
And when the hug came, he started to feel more comfortable with the situation. The smile on his face grew even though she had not seen it. He was still smiling like that when she pulled back though. ''I...'' he could not ruin a friend's mood with his previous one, could he? ''...am fine. Everything is fine. I was just thinking. You know, everything has a bit of a stressing side that makes us work hard on it.'' Especially his current job so it could be actually very persuasive if he put all the blame on it...then change the topic. ''How is your husband? Still alive?...i mean...happy?''
Yes, he had to add a short laugh at that.

Yes, he had to add a short laugh at that.
"Oh. Well I guess I have been kind of M.I.A for the past eight months." But she had good reason though. She and Nik had to make up time for all those months that they had to be apart when she was at school. Now that school was finished, she got to be with him all the time and no way was she going to waste that.
Mia was excellent at reading people's faces and body language. She always had been, so she knew that Josh was lying to her. Perhaps he had good reason to, so she was not going to call him out on it. If he wanted to tell her then he would.
His little joke caused her to laugh and she swatted him on the arm. "Yes my husband is still alive and he's very happy. How could he not be, with a wife like me?" She gave him a wink before linking her arm with his. "Let's go get a drink in the Leaky. I need something to warm me up."

Damon had found a small table that people could stop and rest at on their way through Diagon Alley, and took a seat there. Normally when meeting Alex he was alone, but today he had a rather tall and lean woman with jet black hair and bright eyes that really popped when you looked at them. She had a serious and down to business kind of air about her, that intimidated Damon a bit, but from what he had heard she was one of the best wedding planners around, and Damon wanted to make sure that this wedding went as smoothly as possible. "I am sure they will be here soon Miss. Greene," Damon said with a polite smile.
"Oh there is no need to apologize Mr. Briere. I assure you I am in no hurry at all, and I am quite excited to meet the bride-to-be,"Vesper said with a warm smile. Vesper had to admit that the man sitting before her was quite good-looking, and had already established that his fiance would probably have natural, but pretty girl-next-door features that would go wonderfully together. Perhaps she was getting ahead of herself but she was thinking simple and elegant for their theme. Now...all that needed to happen was the appearance of the bride so she could keep the flow going.

Alex walked down the street, a stiff expression on her face. She didn't know why her mum wanted to get involved in planning the wedding. Not that Alex had a problem with her mum helping her out and it really did look like she was making an effort but still..she didn't want things to get all uncomfortable with Damon. She just prayed that everything would go fine. She spotted Damon sitting on a bench nearby and before she could stop herself, she ran over to him before gave him a huge hug and a kiss. "You remember my mother." She said, turning towards her mother with a smile.
Melody was actually looked forward to meeting her future son-in-law. She'd liked him when he'd come over for lunch. He did seem like a stable young man and he clearly loved her daughter but she was scared to say anything in front of her husband..since he clearly didn't like Damon at all. When Alex mentioned that she was going to marry him, she was..well, surprised. She'd always known that Alex would end up marrying him but she'd never thought it would be so soon. Anyway, she decided to help Alex out with her wedding. She knew that she hadn't been as supportive of her daughter as she should have been and she really wanted to be there for her now. Melody watched with a small smile on her face as she watched Alex greet Damon. "Hello Damon." She extended her hand.

Melody watched with a small smile on her face as she watched Alex greet Damon. "Hello Damon." She extended her hand.
Damon stood up as he spotted Alex and her mother coming towards them, returning Alex's hug with a tight squeeze around the waist, and a gentle kiss on the lips. He knew he was already on thin ice with Alex's father, and even though her mother was trying to be supportive, Damon didn't really want to push his luck. At the greeting of her mother Damon released Alex before returning her hand shake. "It's very nice to see you Mrs. Steeple," Damon said with a warm smile. Damon had to admit he was a bit shocked by how relaxed Alex's mother seemed, and if Damon was reading her correctly there even seemed to be a bit of excitement behind her eyes. However, Damon didn't have much time to dawdle on this since Ms. Greene had stood up as well, and was waiting to be introduced. Giving his throat a slight clear Damon motioned with his arm to the woman standing next to him. "Mrs. Steeple, Alex, this is Ms. Greene. She is one of the top wedding planners in the area and said she would be more than happy to help us with our planning. Ms. Greene this is my fiance Alex and her mother," Damon said, hoping that he had done the introductions well enough.
Vesper had watched with great joy the change in emotion that crossed across the bride-to-be's face as she spotted the man sitting next to her. It was love such as these that made Vesper truly love her job, and not give up faith that true love could be found if one knew where to look. She stood up while the young couple embraced, giving the woman whom she presumed to be the mother-in-law a warm smile. She waited until Damon properly introduced them before extending her hand to shake theirs in welcome. "I cannot tell you both how excited I am that Mr. Briere has contacted me to help with your wedding. Feel free to call me Ms. Greene or Vesper, whichever is easier for you to remember. Shall we take a seat?" Vesper offered before resuming her seat at the table and pulling out a notepad and quill that stood firmly at the ready. "Now my job is to ultimately make sure that you are able to get the wedding that you want, ranging from the dress you'll wear to the type of icing you want on the cake. As we go along I will be more than happy to offer my suggestions, but only if you would like them. Now, I usually start by asking if there are any absolute musts that you both would like in the wedding. For example do you want it to be at a certain location, would you like a certain person to marry you, etc.?"
Holden paused in the middle of the street. Why on earth was he here again? It seemed as though everytime he came down to Diagon Alley something horribly wrong happened, or he came to fix something that had happened, like the burn on his arm earlier in the year.
A frowned appeared on his lips as his eyes darted down to his scar. Oh well. There wasn't much he could do about it now, could he? Bored, his eyes lazily scanned the area, not completely sure what he wanted, or.. what he needed, really.
He could use a new quill, really.. His eyes darted over toward the shop, before the wandered around, making sure that Phe wasn't around. Everything bad always seemed to happen when she was around. Not seeing the woman, his feet began to carry him toward the shop.

Jocelyn didn't like the way the shop smelled when it got warm. She stepped outside and pushed up the sleeves of her cardigan and closed her eyes. Jocelyn took a deep breath and sighed, slipped on her sunglasses. A walk was in order before she walked back towards the shop. When she took a few steps though, she ran into someone.
Typical. Happened with Mister Sillen, happened with someone else. People ought to watch where they were standing. "Excuse you," she said, catching herself and righting herself and taking off her sunglasses. "You ought to watch where you're walking."
Truth.

His eyes had been on the shop's sign, but he could still see what was in front of him. Though, he wasn't going to move out of anyone's way. That just wasn't him. They should move out of his way. So, it was really no shock to him when someone bumped into him. His eyes narrowed as the fell upon the woman's face. Wonderful.
Oh? But this woman had the nerve to yell at him for her mistake? Women. "I believe you mean 'Excuse me'." He pointed out, watching the woman adjust her glasses. Bad things always happened to him here. Why did he think that today would have been any different? Foolish man.

Jocelyn blinked at the guy there. Excuse herself? But it was clear that he had been in the way. "No, I do not believe I meant 'Excuse me'. If I did, I would've said that instead of saying 'Excuse you'." Which totally made perfect sense in her head. Or summer was just getting to her head and she wasn't thinking straight. Which was impossible because she was Jocelyn Minerva Montague and she ALWAYS thought with her head screwed on straight. Not crooked.
"You ought to watch where you're standing," she added. Because it was a hazard for everyone else. She could've fallen. He should obviously take responsibility for his actions.

His head tilted slightly eyes watching the woman tiredly. "Yeah, well. I don't believe i need to be excused." he shrugged, running his fingers through his hair. Yeah, well... She could think whatever she wanted to because she was clearly delusional. Maybe he should just ignore her and walk away. That would probably end all of this boring, stupid, conversing with this woman. Clearly, he was in the right and she was wrong. Though, he didn't exactly feel like voicing it at this moment.
Holden's eyes blinked slowly, unbelieving. Was she serious? She couldn't possibly be. "I always watch where i'm standing. Maybe you ought to watch where you're going." People were so rude. Can't anyone take the blame for their stupidity?

With the list in her hand, Mina made her way through the north end of Diagon Alley. There were a number of things that she needed to look into before returning home to be anti-social. There were a ton of cauldron cakes waiting for her to eat her feelings with, but first she would do as she was asked and do this for her cousin.
She had only been back in London for a few days and she had to admit that she did miss it dearly. Her trip to Paris was good for her but she felt lost there still. Her friends for Beauxbatons were wonderful, but she missed her Hogwarts friends and her heart was with another the whole time. The trip was meant for her to think things over but it had only confused her more with the addition of a visit from her auntie. It was not a completely unpleasant visit, but it did only serve to confuse her more. Being back in London though had put her at ease though.
Plus the sleeping in her own flat and seeing Jade again had set reminded her of who she really was. So now she was just going to keep on doing as she always did. Keeping busy was always something she was good at and helping with her cousin's upcoming wedding was the perfect thing to keep her busy.
Spotting Madame Malkins ahead, she smiled. If she was going to start ironing out details, that was the first place she needed to visit.

Jocelyn didn't appreciate the look he was giving her either. Like it was her fault. "Yes, just like I believe it wasn't my fault but yours for standing in front of my shop," Orabelle said, narrowing her eyes at him. Though he probably couldn't see it because her shades were covering her eyes. This man needed manners.
Always watched where he was standing?
"You obviously don't always watch where you're standing because you weren't just a moment ago! And I always watch where I'm going," she huffed, rolling here eyes once more. Really? He couldn't take responsibility for his actions? Be a polite, proper gentleman of sorts? Chivalry was so obviously dead.

Holden yawned. She was seriously boring him and annoying him. "Your shop? You own this place, hm? Huh. Strange. I don't quite understand why you'd be yelling at a potential customer-" He leaned his head forward a bit. "Isn't that bad for business? You're losing customers by standing out front and bumping into people, then getting all snippy with them. Isn't a shop's motto, 'The Customer's always right?'" He smirked at the woman.
Oh? Was that right? "Oh? Is that right? I don't agree. I'm pretty sure i was paying attention, and you weren't." He removed a hand from his pocket to glance at his watch. Honestly, how long was this going to take? If it were going to be this long to get a quill, he could have given up and come back some other day.

So... this was the famous Diagon Alley? Lucas stood in the middle of the street and looked around. Ehh... he guessed it was very... cobblestone-y. That was as much of a compliment as it was going to get.
He really needed something to occupy his time now that his best mate was married. Married and in a house all his own.
Which left him here... wandering some cobblestone street in London.
His eyes then landed on someone he recognized. That girl was at the wedding. What was her name again?
He walked up to her. "Mind some company Miss Bennett?" he asked starting to walk alongside her.

Mina glanced back down at the list in her hand and thought about what she needed to do as she heard the voice addressing her. Looking up to see a familiar face, she smiled softly. "Yes, I would love some company Mister Rapp," she replied as she slowed her step slightly. It had been a long time since anyone addressed her as Miss Bennett and it made her giggle to herself silently.
Folding the list back up, she returned it to her bag and glanced over to her walking partner. "So, what brings you to London this fine day?" She was curious, seeing that she had only seen him once at the reception of Marie and Matty's wedding and thought the best man lived in Sweden and all.

Lucas smiled. He noticed that Mina had a list. Looks like they had a mission. Which was good, Lucas was well trained when it came to missions. *smirk*
"Turns out... when your best mate gets married, you find you have a lot more free time." he said with a light chuckle. "I figured I'd come out for a visit. See what all the hype was."
He looked around once more. Yeah... still looked cobblestoney...
He smiled at her. "And you, my dear?" He nodded to her bag. "Seems there's a list involved."

Mina shook her head and smiled. "You know best mates do that sometimes. They get married and move. Kind of puts a damper on all your fun, but free time is a nice thing." she replied with a small giggle. "Well, London is a beautiful place. Diagon Alley has its charm as well," she added with a laugh.
Looking around, she nodded. It was very cobblestoney and a bit colonial, but it had charm.
Glancing at her bag and then back up, she shrugged. "Wedding planning." she replied in a whisper, as if it was a secret. "Top secret stuff," she added with a wink.

Jocelyn narrowed her blue eyes. "I know perfectly well how to run a business," she scoffed, fixing her sunglasses. He was an idiot, Jocelyn didn't do well with idiots such as him. "The customer cannot always be right, if you think about it, if a customer says that an item is on sale at 70% but you, the owner who created this sale, says it's only at 25%, is the customer right or wrong?" Jocelyn asked. There was no way he could prove her wrong. A customer had faults too. Like this guy and his stupidity.
Jocelyn tried not to roll her eyes, honestly she did. "Well then, I do not appreciate people loitering in front of my shop, find somewhere else to hang out." Somewhere not in front of her shop.

He nodded. He'd just have to take her word for it. Maybe it was one of those it-grows-on-you deals?
"Ooh. Top secret wedding stuff?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. "Sounds intriguing. Need a hand?" He then smirked. "I'm well trained when it comes to top secret." he added with a wink.
