This is the SS fanclub/fanlisting for Gryffindor's most charming member, and the most talented underage botanist at Hogwarts.

Here will be our home-away-from home for discussions concerning Neville Longbottom, his role in the books, his role in the movies, his general characteristics, and the comeuppance of the other clubs in his brave name.

I'm the moderator sponsor for this club, so I'm only here to help the leadership (which we'll decide on later) out and give general advice. In the meantime, I will pick leaders for the club (more than one) by having anyone interested in taking a greater role answer some as-yet-undecided questions.

The first order of business is to decide what we shall call our officer positions, I will post questions for anyone interested in running/organizing this club to fill out for me to decide who will lead. Until then, briefly introduce yourself to the other members.

Hello! I'm Newm. I'll be 19 in like 20 days! Woo...uuum, yeah, that makes me very old and therefore very sad, because ageing is one of my biggest fears! I like animals alot, cats the most, and they, aparently, like me, 'cause the other day I was walking down the street and, like, every animal I passed came up to me or started following me...it was weird...anyway! Yeah, I'm just rambling now...which I tend to do often...but I like Neville because he likes herbology, and so do I! That makes him cool *nod nod*. Also, he's always the underdog and everyone puts him down but you know all he really needs is a little self confidence 'cause he has all that hidden potential an' all, and I always love characters like that! Howdy there, I'm Maddey, and I be a wench! Arr! In more ways than one actually - I'm a Black Country girl (as I have said many times, the area surrounding Birmingham, and we have a similar accent), and a pirate girl (like my MySpace will tell you!). So, I spend a lot of my time on the computer (because I am odd), and like making graphics (which are rubbish, btw ) and watching episodes of Extreme Ghostbusters and BBxRae Teen Titans fan vids on YouTube. I occasionally play with my goldfish friends and send them after my friends, but I can be sane....well, sort of. I live in Wales (which is in the UK, in case some people are as bad at Geography as I am), and it was my 13th birthday last Friday! So, I'm officially a teenager!

I love Neville because...well what is there not to love about Neville? He defines lovable. Basically I think he's the cutest thing and definitely the real hero of DH!!!

Hi my name is Casey and I'm 25 years old. Neville is my favorite character because he is the character that shows the most growth throughout the books. Everyone else is basically the same person leaving Hogworts as they were when they got there, but Neville is the opposite of the way he was. When he first went to school he was shy with basically no friends and practically no powers. Then by the seventh book he's so brave and strong that he's leading the revulsion inside of Hogworts. He does it not to be the big shot but to give everyone else hope, and that shows what type of person he really is. He's willing to sacrifice himself for the good of everyone else. Even when it looks like all hope is gone it is Neville that stands up to He Who Must Not Be Named face-to-face. Someone said that he wasn't on the same level as Harry, but really I think he's on a higher level because he didn't have the expatiations on him that Harry did but proved himself worthy of them. And there's the whole thing between him and Grans....I love it when she shows up towards the end of DH!!!
