Hello everyone, I have an annoucement!

We are going to be having a contest here

to help promote club activeness since it's been a little low lately. The idea for this contest was thought up by none other than our own JADE! (jadesabre85). Thanks for the idea

The NLFC Advertising Avvies Contest!

Here are the rules:

1. Make an avvie or siggy to promote the NLFC. Here is an example I made really quickly so you can see what I'm talking about:

2. Send a MAXIMUM of 2 Avvies/Siggys to me by May 31st (this gives us time to spread the news around to other members and tell your friends too!)

3. Avvies must be 100x100 and in the proper format (.png, .gif, .jpeg) and exactly 20k or under. Siggys can be 250x450 and in the same formats as above.

Rules about the winners will be posted after all entries are in.

The winner will get a prize of some sort (it is yet to be decided) but remember, the whole purpose of this contest is to have fun making your avvies and about promoting the NLFC!

So get out there and make your avvies! I'll be waiting

Fanclub Fanfic

The month of July is just around the corner and we need a little help to kick off the celebration. It’s time to put on your Thinking Cap and gather your black rimmed Harry Potter glasses for a month of fun and writing. Being part of the Snitchseeker Fan Clubs, the Admins and Mods have come up with a bit of fun with spectacular roles for all Fan Club members to enjoy and take part in.

As you know, Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final novel from the Harry Potter series. What if you, the members, could write the final book the way you see it or the way you would like it to end? Well, the time has come to hear your side of the story as told by your favorite Fan Club character in ‘Fanclub Fanfic’.

What we need from the Fan Clubs right now is for you, as a team, to agree on a topic or storyline for your character. You may participate in more than one Fan Club, it is all up to you, just as long as you have fun. Start a thread within the characters forum or have a discussion in the thread and have everyone post their thoughts and contributions to the story, to see where the novel would start and end.

*clears throat* Attention everyone! I have an important annoucement!

So, out of sheer boredom today, I checked the FC Officers thread (just to see if they updated my UN on any of them

) and I saw that we don't have an Activities Officer or Secretary! Activities Officer runs things like graphics competitions, FF contests, stuff like that. A Secretary helps to make sure everything is in order and that all discussions are up to date (At least, that's what I did LONG ago when I was the NLFC Secretary

) So, if you are interested in applying for any of these jobs, please fill out this handy little form below and send it to me by August 27th.

Anyways, since our lovely Jade probably won't be making a reappearance until sometime in this summer (I'm only assuming this, since I know she is a student and is therefore doing lots of schoolwork and has very little time for SS) we are in need of someone to take over the birthday thread/graphics area. You don't need to have any experience in graphic making to be the birthday host. All you have to do is:

1. Create an updated birthday list of all the members and their birthdays
2. Wish them a happy birthday (through a graphic or just a nice post in the presents thread) within a week of their birthday.

Simple, right?

To apply, simply fill out this form and PM to me. You can apply for the job even if you have another job in the club as well.

Announcement:

All FC chat threads are now officially Discussion threads. This means no, 'Hi!' 'What's up?' and so on. This means, talking about Neville Longbottom. Occasionally being off topic won't exactly bad, but please refrain from it and stick to discussing!

All posts that are considered SPAM or not Discussion Related will be deleted.

Chat threads are converted to Discussion threads in all forum fan clubs
Presidents have the right to delete post for those members who do not follow the rules
Chatting is still allowed within discussion threads as long as the post pertains to the discussion going on

With the actors, let’s keep their questions geared towards the Harry Potter movies only, like something that happened on the set or something they did differently in the movies other than the books.

Please keep it spam free as we will be using the questions elsewhere on the site and a clean thread is easier to work with than a dirty one. Once you believe to have enough questions and are ready to turn them in, please send them to me, LadyNerd, and I will take care of them and get them to the proper place for more fun and excitement.

Try and have as many short answers as possible so that it makes it easier on the members who are playing to type in the answers. If it is something that is slightly long or hard speller, create tips such as this:

With actors, please keep their questions pertaining to the Harry Potter movies only, whether it is something that happened on the set or something that was different from books to movie

2. Right now, until the fan clubs can be revived with activity once again, the Request thread will be closed until further notice. I feel that there is no need to add another club when the ones we have need a little push towards being active again. I will make another announcement when they are ready to be opened.
