Now that we know that Neville becomes the Herbology Professor, what kind of teacher do you think he is? Is he a forgiving teacher who hardly takes points from the kids, or did he surprise us all and become strict? Is he the teacher all the girls have crushes on or the one they remember as "the teacher who killed You-Know-Who's snake"?

I think he is kinds to students. He wont want to scare them, like how Snape scared him. But he will be strict when necessary.

Im sure girls will have crushes on him (I know I would) & He will also be remembered as the brave professor who kill Voldemort's snake.

I like the idea of him being the teacher all the girls swoon over If I was his student I know I'd have a crush on him!

So we all agree that Neville will be adored by Neville fangirls at school I think he might be really close to his students as well, especially the children of his friends. We already know from the epilogue that he visits Harry and Ginny a lot, because James knows him.

I think that Neville is a great Professor, I think that Lis was right, he probably never really took points from kids, unless they really got out of hand, I'm SURE he was the teacher that the girls crushed on, and I'm sure all the students, especially firsties, always asks about when he killed You-Know-Who's snake.
I kind of picture him as.. kind of like how Hagrid was, what I mean is like, I think Neville is still kindhearted. cares about is students, and loves his job more then anything. All in all, I think he is probably adored, by the girls, . an idol to some of the kids.. and most of all, one of the best Professor's hogwarts has, in that time. (Since I'm sure most of the Professor's have retired/had to quit for some odd reason)

Neville would definately be an amazing professor. *nods and agrees with everything you've all said* I'm sure quite a few of the female population at Hogwarts would have a crush on him. I'm sure he grew into a very handsome young man like Matt.

He would definately care hugely about his job, and the students. Herbology, after all, was his strength and of course care hugely about it. Also, since Snape treated him horribly in general, he'd be kind-hearted and forgiving, because he knows that they can make mistakes.

Neville will be remembered as the one who killed Voldie's snake. I mean, to go from a shy, clumsy little first year that people made fun of to a brave, handsome cause he has to be handsome young man who helped the great Harry Potter save the entire Wizarding World.

Also, everytime I think of Neville as a Professor, I get this ohmigosh-I'm-so-pround-of-him kinda of feeling, you know? Then again, he is my hero. And he pwns Superman. Seriously.

That is true. I seriously did I double take when I saw Nev in the fourth movie...I was like "Whoa, is that Neville? Seriously?" and that's when my luff for him began

I think Neville would definatley be friendly with his students and be the one the girls have a crush on. I don't think he would judge kids based off their house, or be a mean teacher like Snape was to him. But I think he will be very strict when it comes down to students picking on each other. Neville was made fun of my Malfoy a lot, and he would proably get upset when he saw someone being picked on too. Neville would try to help his students get good grades, like give them extra help if they're having trouble and help them study for OWLs and such.

I don;t think Neville was strict but he wasn't a pushover either. I think Neville has learned to stand up for himself and fight when needed. I don't know I think he was like a mix of McGonagall and Flitwick or somewhere in the middle of them.

I think he would be sensitive to students struggling with their classes and he may be more willing to help them out in their classes. He wouldn't stand for people picking on each other and all that house rivalry nonsense.

I do think he may have been a totally cute teacher and some girls may have had a crush on him though
