We know that his parents were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix LeStrange, but do you think that Neville holds out any hope for their recovery? He visits them often and still loves them, but is he just going to see them because he has to?

Do you think one day they will just come to their minds and go home to their son?

Well this is just a great topic to discuss, Tomasina riddle! Well what i think is that hopefully the Wizarding World's medicine is progressivly getting better throughout the years and that they will find a cure that will get them their lives back. Now that i think about it Neville who later becomes the Herbology Professor, at Hogwarts, could possibly find the cure because of his work with plants.

I think Neville visits his parents because he wants to, not because he is being forced. Neville was brought up by his Gran, but he loves his parents alot, and he probably misses them from his life. I think he is always happy to see them. Remember when his Mom gave him the candy wrapper, he put it in his pocket, even though she always gives them to him. That shows how much he wants to be around his parents.

I hope that after Bellatrix and Rabastan Lestrange dies, the spell lifts from them. We are in the magical world, right? Then they will be able to spend the remainder of their life with their son and his family.

That is sol true I do think that Neville visits his parents because he wants to. He is just a sweet boy and I think even though his parents may not remember who he is he enjoys going to see them. And I even think his Gran does too. I do believe that Neville does hold out hope for their recovery and he could be trying to work on something of a cure with his work with plants that is totally plausible.

I think Neville still holds hopes of finding people who care about him. And thats what parents are there for. So deep down he knows he should go see them because they would love him forever since he's their son, but he really doesn't know them so it's awkward. It's sort of like visiting a relative that has Alzheimers only ten times worse because at least with Alzheimers the person sometimes remembers.

I think Neville definitely visits them because he wants to, and he's learned to be proud of them and the sacrifice that they gave for him to live a somewhat normal life. I've always viewed him as an optimist, so I think he still has hope that they'll find a cure.

I really do believe that Neville still has hope that both his parents will one day recover and become the way they were once again. And you know, it is true that they are both magical and that things are getting more and more advanced, so I think there is a very good chance that that might happen, too!

I think that Neville still hopes to find something to help his parents. Now that he's a herbologist/botanist, he might find some kind of plant compound that could potentially help them. (and others that are afflicted with a similar ailment)
