They're not anything like what I expected. The Patil Twins in the book are Asian, aren't they? Don't quote me on that.

However, I think they do a good job. Serve the purpose. The Gryffindor, Ravenclaw thing doesn't really bother me at all. If they put them in separate Houses, then the director would have had to take the time to explain that they were sisters in separate Houses. Time is money! So, it's understandable to me. I just sort of wish they looked more alike. In my head, they're identical twins. But, I like the girls. I think they did a fabulous job in the movies. Loooove the Yule Ball.

In terms of Asian is doesn't mean somone from Asia, specifically. I mean, hence the name 'Patil' its clearly Indian. And, that's a fact because all Indians with Patel last names are madd smart! I mean, I have like three-no, four friends with the same last name, being Patel. They tend to refer to Indians as Asian and I don't see how. I mean, in the interview with Afshan (1st one) she spoke about if more Asians were to audition...etc. Something like that; can't remember.

Regardless, Dean considered her and her twin to be the best-looking girls in their year. They are both so beautiful, so... without a doubt they fit that role.

That's true (refering to Dean's saying) because like most Indian girls are just really pretty. I mean, you have other girls from other cultures that are beautiful as well. But, with like Indian girls they are just gorgeous. Some of them have the green/blue eyes or grey.

Tho, Afshan and Shefali aren't Indian, they are Banglandesi(sp? sorry if I spelled that wrong) and they are both very beautiful.

Well, you say they were said to be Asian, but Asia doesn't consist of China and Japan alone. India is Asia all the same.

I love Afshan and Shefali as the twins. i think they did a great job at picking them. of course they were described as identical and I imagined them to be identical, but making them look different also made clear that their personalities are different. As to padma being in Ravenclaw, it didn't really bother me all that much.

I think that Padma might take Lavenders place in HBP, cause that way they wouldn't have to search for a Lavender. I think that would be great. That way we'll get to see more of Padma and automatically more of Parvati aswell.

Well the last name Patail is definately Indian. And they are discribed as Asian (and as above) Asian can be China, Japan, etc. but the last name is a give away.

Also what Parvati wore at the Yull Ball seems Indiaie!

Asia does include all the countried listed above. But the name "Patail" is a Indian Asain name.

Who acted as Lavender?

But, that will throw the whole story-line of the 6th book off wouldn't it? I mean, I don't mind at all if Padma was to take the place of Lavender. We would get to see the Patils more; we hardly see the girls and they have tiny parts in the movie, all except for the Yule Ball scene.
