Radiohead's new album is called In Rainbows, and it's out today. I'm listening right now, and it's brilliant. Definitely beats the last one, Hail to the Thief, and it's heavily competing with my personal number 1, Amnesiac. Probably better, I'd say.
It's no longer a straightforward alternative rock album though like OK Computer. From what I can tell right now between listening and fainting in happiness, there's a lot more electronica elements. Sounds amazing but different.
If you're not sure, give it a listen.
Most interesting thing though:
Radiohead are releasing the album themselves - there is no record label involved, and you can choose the price yourself for the download version. So you can pay $1, $10, or nothing... |

I used to love Radiohead, they were probably one of the first bands I really got into when I was younger (along with Blur and Garbage). The Bends was my favourite album of theirs, followed by Ok Computer. I sort of drifted away from them after that, and haven't listened to any of their more recent stuff. It's probably because they musically defined a set time in my life and those two CDs were so important to me that nothing else has been able to get into my brain. | |
