M2M, while not like the 'old' LP style i fell in love with, is still pretty amazing. It takes a few listens to really get into it, but I love it.
And the blurb on the inside of the cover of the CD makes it easier to understand why they've taken so long to come out with a new CD, how hard they worked to improve their sound and do something new.
Meteora was awesome, but they couldn't release the same kind of album again after 4 years could they? They're all older and have children and wives and aren't the same people they were 4 years ago.
It makes me sad when people say they have changed too much and they aren't fans anymore. I dunno if it's just me, but when I am a fan of a band I love them no matter what.

 I love the new album. The lyrics have really evolved and the new sound is really refreshing. What I've Done, Wake, Bleed it Out, Hands Held High, No More Sorrow, Valentine's Day, In Between and In Pieces and Shadow of the Day seem really really good  I love them.
Leave Out All the Rest and Little Things That Give You Away seem a little too boy band though. You could say that Valentine's Day is as well but I like the sound and the lyrics in that. Sure I like the lyrics in Leave Out All the Rest and Little Things That Give You Away but the sound is too mellow for me.
Edit: lol Shadow of the Day's grown on me

yes i have to say at first i didn't like m2m but it grew on me and now i love it its a good ablum not as good as the first two but its still good ....they have a new style or sound but their lyrics are deep and some songs are actually really good there not "numb" or "in the end" but their good enough to at least buy the cd and give them a chance..Still Linkin Park is my favorite band | |

To be honest when i first bought minutes to midnight i wasn't overly impressed. But i must say its grown on me. Hands held high and valentines day are my favouite. Ithink what i've done has been a little over-played since the single release so it's losta lot of its appeal to me. Although its not as good as its predecessors, this album gets better the more i listen to it | |

Linkin Park was some of the first rock music I ever listened to and now that is pretty much the only kind of music I listen to. I love there music and own all their cds. Though i was admitedly somewhat disappointed in the album they recorded with Jay-z and Reanimation. They're still Sooo awsome though. | |

I think that M2M really showed what they're about. They said that the album really pushed their limits and made them go outside of their 'comfort zones' and it turned out ok. The album is their best because they didn't just throw it out there, they sat and contemplated the whole thing, which made the difference. So, they didn't know what they were doing... And they had a "Just For Fun" song on it which was "Bleed it Out". | |

I liked some of the old stuff (especially "Breaking the Habit"), but M2M was the first album of them that interested me enough to buy it, and I've got to say i love it. "What I've done" is probably their greatest song so far. My current favourite is "Valentine's Day"."
