Here are some rules and guidelines for the LC. Please try to follow them or it could result in a warning.
Because we've been noticing some rudeness lately amongst site members, please read MadameShekespere's post on Forum Decorum. The SnitchSeeker Board Rules Please read those before posting anything if you're new, or go there if you have any questions.
1. Absolutely NO threads about the sorting. If you make a thread about the sorting it will be locked immediately and we will NOT answer your questions about it.
2. If a mod or admin contacts you about a post or thread, please take it seriously. They are doing this for the good of the site, please do not reply nastily to the person who contacted you.
3. If there is post or thread that is offensive to you, please do not reply in the same manner. Please contact a mod or admin about the topic or post in question. Remember, not everyone knows or is familiar with the rules of the site yet.
4. We understand that members of this site want to help out, but when a thread is made that is against the rules in some way, please just let us handle it. We do not appreciate 10 different members posting "this is in the wrong place, duh

" and etc. The mods and admins can handle it, and by posting in the thread you're just making it worse.
5.
Before you create a topic, make sure that the topic does not already exist. This may mean you have to look back a few pages in the forum. Duplicate threads will be locked and you will be directed to the other thread (locked threads will be deleted after one week).
6. Use a title for your Topic that clearly states the question or issue... don't use titles like "Whaaaa...?" or "WKWTST", and please make sure you spell it correctly. Titles like "post here!", "read this!" or "*** n say wut ur fav pet iz" are hard to understand, and just plain annoying.
Also please do not put half a sentence in the title and finish it in the post. This is very confusing and we will change it if it is done.
7.
Please do not spam or write one word replies that mean nothing. Making a post to the effect of "lol" or "yeh i agree" is pointless, and most people do it just to bring up their post count. Posts like this will be deleted, as they clutter up a topic. Also, please try to stay on topic. Making a post in the middle of a topic asking someone where they got their avatar is against the rules, and those posts will also be deleted.
8. Please keep all actor/actresses, movie, video game, book and music topics in their own subforums.
9.
Swearing is under no circumstances allowed. This means no asterisks (*), periods (.), dashes (-), etc. in the middle of the word. If we find swearing anywhere we will delete or edit the post, and you will receive a warning.
10. Any threads about war, politics, AND/OR religion are
strictly forbidden. If you make one of these topics it will be closed, deleted, and you could get a warning. The ONLY forum where topics of this nature can be discussed is "Charing Cross Road" in the Forbidden Forest.
11.
No clubs in the LC PERIOD - even HP-related.
12. Do
NOT bash other peoples opinions. I understand that several heated discussions get started in here over musicians, etc. but do not put someone down because of the way you feel about something. It is discriminatory and Snitch Seeker won't accept that.
13. If you are not sure about anything, feel free to PM one of the LC Mods and tell us your problem.
14. Threads that have not been posted in in over three months will be bumped to the top of the forum. This helps everyone see that the topics are still around. A thread that is inactive for four months will be deleted.
**
Again, everyone please remember that clubs are NOT ALLOWED in the Leaky Cauldron. In fact, no clubs are allowed anywhere on SS except for the Fan Clubs that already exist. This even goes for threads for HP actors/actresses since they have their own fan clubs.
**
Again, everyone please remember that the threads are NOT CHAT THREADS. The only appropriate place to chat/spam on SS is in the TP chat thread. When you post, please make more than a 'that's cool' post - include details, explain . . . communicate!
Thanks.
