^Steven Strait is currently 25, I think, which obviously makes him way too old to play the Jacob of Twilight

^ Mm true but that's why I think he's perfect. Remember Jacob looks 25 in New Moon and Eclipse.

I keep forgetting that he is supposed to be younger in Twilight.
But I just hope whoever they cast has got a lot of experience, not just some random new kid.

I think the Taylor kid would be good for Twilight, and Steven Strait for New Moon and Eclipse. Personally, I have been wishing for Steven Strait...but is he technically Native American? WHOEVER they get, he better have chemistry with Kristen STEWART!!!, and act the way he's supposed to act. I cannot stand if the best character in the series is OOC. I don't want him to come off as a jerk or something like those hardcore B/E shippers think. GO JACOB!

Oh my gosh, I knew that, and yet I can't keep thinking in my head "Bell." Yes, they're two different people. It's funny I think Bell because I've never ever seen her in anything before. Anyway, KRISTIN STEWART looks perfect for the role...as long as they make her clumsy!

I also hear that they casted a Solomon Trimble as Sam Uley. (Though Stephenie's site nor IMDB have updated it. It sounds official, but who knows?)

Personally, I don't think he looks ANYTHING like the Sam I see in the books. that's just my opinion, though.

Yep, but since right now they are making Twilight, they can't really cast someone that looks like a grown up...maybe for New Moon and Eclipse, but it would be kinda weird that they cast some kid for Twilght, and then they change the actor for New Moon and Eclipse, don't you think?

I heard that they were thinking of having a small-ish kid for Jacob in Twilight, and then they'd use another taller and more muscled dude for New Moon and Eclipse.
I so do NOT want that.
It'd totally ruin the regularity of Jacob's character.
Because the two actors could have two completely different acting styles.

Yeah so, being all late with Twilight madness (right Ang? I took like five years ), I just saw them pics on Stephenie Meyer's site...and if I didn't know better, I would say that they got a girl to play Jasper. He's so effeminate! Luurve Alice though. Cannot recall Carlisle being platinum blonde and am thus a little disturbed. He looks weird.

Oh mylanta! It's official? I was still kind of hoping it'd be Steven Strait, but you know what? As long as the script and his acting are true to Jacob's true character, I'll be okay. But he better still be HOT in New Moon and Eclipse or I'll be super ticked off. He's really cute now, but the whole physical transformation is really important for his character, and I think it'd be so annoying if he didn't get bigger for the sequels. He looks nice enough, though.

And again, I don't think the Sam Uley is anything like he's supposed to look, but that's just me. *shrug*

Lol. They better announce who he's {Lautner} playing! I had the weirdest dream they added a character and he was playing a kid...and the dude playing Jacob was a Hawiian dude and he had a really round face.

Taylor is a doll. But I would be highly disappointed if he's Jake (which he probably is). I'm supposed to fangirl over Jake. I seemply cannot fangirl over the kid from Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Just can't. It would be profoundly icky of me
