Ya, i kjnow, it is confusing. I like the flashback into Lockes past tho. I wanna know more about his mother (his legit mother) cause wouldnt that mean that he was adopted..or was he? they never tell you and I want to know!
Well I liked this season's Locke flash back. Sometimes character flashbacks can get annoying, like Locke's generally show him being trusting and getting burned. Jack's show him needing to save everyone and be a hero. Sawyer's are about the rugged man with a heart of gold. The point is it gets predictable.
This season, the writers really stepped it up by going in different directions with the flashbacks and forwards. Locke's showed a completely different side of him (the prophet side) and we saw him growing up. Plus we saw the unaging Richard, which is always fun. I'm so glad the actor's show on CBS got cancelled, now he can be on Lost more!
Theory!: So, we've only see Richard Alpert not age, so I don't think it's a native thing about islanders. What if it has to do with activating the Orchid station to move the island. Like if you create a worm hole, that can mess with all sorts of space/time properties, and it through some sci fi-ness, it could stop your aging or something. I mean, if someone can become unstuck in time on this show, anything can happen.
Wow, I just relized that he doesnt age. And he would have to be pretty old considering he looked about 30 when Locke was a kid....So either your theory is right OR he has a really good plastic surgeon!

Two days, two hours and 52 minutes left until the two hour season finale! But who's counting?
And don't forget it will be a FULL night of Lost! An encore of the last episode followed by the finale! I can't wait! Judging by the last episode, it's going to be a great one! *dances*
Not only an encore, but encore with new footage! Apparently we'll see more of the Oceanic Six press conference. But I'm so excited, Lost finales generally live up to the hype, and with what the first hour set up, it looks like we're in for a mind blowing eppy. Whoo!

You're totally right! I forgot about that! I was going to watch it anyway, but that makes it even more excited! It's good to see Lost back to it's old self.
So excited for tonight! I really want some answers, especially regarding who was in the coffin in last season's finale, and what happened to Claire. And, of course, how the Oceanic 6 got off the island, and why there are only 6 of them! It should be amazinggggg.

Whee I'm so pumped! Since we had so many questions last episode, I can feel the cryptic not!answers coming tonight! Oh, and my money's on Ben in the coffin. Last year I said Locke, but it's looking like, since we know that Ben got off the island, that he could die and have an off island funeral. I mean, who would go to Ben's funeral, and Jack is neither his friend nor family. After all, he was right about the freighter people and wanted everyone to stay on the island... except I don't want Ben to die
I wrote up this really long and detailed review, but I took advantage of some more colorful language than I'm aloud to use here, so I'll do some tweaking and post parts of it here.
I didn't recognize Walt. AT ALL. Even taller Walt last year still looked like Walt. I wonder if he'll go back to the island, now that his age is no longer a continuity error. You know, sometimes I wonder if the producers started in with Time Travel just so they could have a reason to bring Walt back without it being a problem. Because season one they totally said there WOULD NOT be any of that time traveling nonsense.

OMG! I loved the finale! Too many things to comment on, I know I'll forget some stuff.
SPOILER!!: Finale spoilers!!
Loved the Desmond/Penny reunion! It brought tears to my eyes! So happy that they finally reunited.
Now we know how Ben ended up in the Dessert.
I'm guessing whatever Sawyer whispered to Kate before he jumped off the helicopter was the favor she was doing for him.
Poor Jin. It was heartbreaking to see Sun watching her husband die. Michael and Jin
Jeremy turned out to be Locke!!! How the heck did he get off the island?! And when Ben says that they ALL need to come back, that includes dead Locke. lol I don't that part just had me cracking up when he said we have to carry him. It will be very difficult to convince Kate, especially after that dream with Claire. And does that also include Walt? And Desmond too?
In case you didn't know. They had filmed three alternate endings! Here is a clip from Good Morning America where they showed the other two endings they filmed! Enjoy!
I can't believe we have to wait until January to find out! The wait it's going to be torture!

Well, I'd say that, except last season Ben made a snide comment about Richard remembering birthdays, insinuating the dude's so old that another year doesn't matter. Maybe Jacob granted Richard eternal life so he could find new generations of Island leaders. But that sounds way too biblical for me.
Until I see a corpse, Jin's not dead. That felt purposefully ambiguous to have him on the deck of the freighter as it went boom. There was plenty of opportunities to jump ship, and Jin's a fighter, he would have done that. Now, as for actually making it back to the island... That doesn't look too good. If a helicopter can't fly back to the island in time before the jump, how could a human being swim that far
BUT! Why would Sun team up with Widmore? We know she blamed Jack for Jin's death, but maybe not so much. Maybe, like with Penny, her loved one is being held somewhere, or heck, maybe he is on the island, and Sun's reaching out to Widmore to find him/it. That, or someone's keeping Jin for some sinister purpose, and Sun's reaching out to Widmore, whom she trusts more than Jack or Locke or Ben, to get him back.
Dude, Claire's totally dead. I love how her storyline just got completely pushed aside for the remainder of the season. It was nice to see her in Kate's "GO BACK!" dream, but with that fight in her, all "DON'T YOU DARE BRING [Aaron] BACK!" That was just too awesome.
Penny and Des. Yeah, I teared up. I loved Jack's "see you in another life, brother." I love those phrases, like "live together, die alone", which Sawyer tweaked last episode with "you don't get to die alone!" Oh Sawyer.
As for the casket, I was right last year when I said it was totally Locke, but this season got me all switched up thinking it was Ben. But then at the end Ben showed up at the mortuary, and my brain franticly went from "CHRISTIAN! DESMOND! CHRISTIAN! DESMOND!", but alas, it was John, and I should have stuck with my gut. BUT! how great would it have been if it was Christian. It would have been a nice cap to Jack's whole daddy dilemma, finally seeing his dad, ready to be buried.
In one of the alternate endings, Desmond was the corpse, but I would have been horrified, because, you know, it's DES! But it could have been Desmond, but that would have left more questions and there would need to be much to address, like how he got obsessed with the island and how he became so feared. But Locke makes perfect sense. As for the other scene, Sawyer wouldn't have made any sense at all. But again, these alternate endings were just in case spoilers leaked, there was a two in three chance of being wrong.
Finally, something tells me this AP headline can be used annually: " 'Lost' ends season with answers, mystery" Oh Lost, only you could keep me coming back for more of the same confusion year after year.
OK, SPOILERS! I don't know how to do that fancy little box thing, so bear with me!
I must say, I was surprised at the number of questions we actually got answered! Obviously, there's still a bajillion questions, but I was totally satisfied.
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH CLAIRE. I refuse to believe she's completley dead, but she totally just like disappeared a couple episodes back. I want some answers with her.
Ben was crazy as ever. I was surprised HE moved the island when it seemed like it was Locke's destiny.
Sun is really making me proud. Yunjin Kim is an amazing actress and I am really falling in love with her character.
And finally, I got my coffin question answered. I was sad to see that Locke was in it, but it's gonna make for a heckuva story!
My only wish is that there would be more Juliet in the current episodes. She's my favorite character and I want to see more of her!
SO I dont think Claire is dead,
andI dont think that Sawyer or Desmond in the coffin would make any sense at all, Locke was the best choice. BUt how did he get off the isalnd, and how bout ben? what happend to whoever moves the island never comes back? And what about how these orientation tapes always find a way to not finish? I think they all have some big important island secret at the end of them, that tells you....idk something really big..so i thin we will find out all of that soon. And umm, thats bout it.
