I have to say I really enjoyed the movie, but I haven't read any of the books so I walked in with nothing to compare it to. I recently just bought the books and was a bit surprised to see that Percy is only 12 in the books, and while Logan Lerman does have a baby face, there is no way he can pull off a twelve year old Since from what I have been reading from those who have read the books I am wondering if I should not read them incase they make another movie.

I <3 this movieee! Can't wait for the sequel! Percy and Annabeth should end up together. X3

As a movie itself... It wasn't too bad. But, being an adaptation of a book, it was absolutely horrible. I'm not even talking about changes. Yes, I expected changes. I was looking forward to them. But in this movie, they completely changed everything except for the title. The story line was changed almost completely, not to mention the main villain isn't even in it!!! I'm not saying who it is due to spoilers, but it is a total outrage.

And Chris Columbus has the right for 2 more movies, but the way the second book is, there's no way they could do a sequel based off the first movie, in my opinion.

They trashed that movie... it could have been GREAT. EPIC! PHENOMENAL!

Yeah, I can't see how they will make sequels after the way the first film went... it is too murky now. They deviated too much and would have to basically do some craziness with the next story to make it work.

I have to put my two cents in on this. I agree with Ian that the movie is actually really good, if it wasn't based off of a book. My cousin and I went to see it with my uncle and my mom. My mom and uncle thought it was the best movie ever and me and my cousin couldn't even wrap our heads around it because we expected so much more.

I don't even know what the other movies could even look like after they changed things the way they did. Let's just say, I'll wait until they're on Netflix to watch them.

I was disappointed. They changed many things. For instance, the pearls were a very minor part of the story, except for the fact that there were three. But in the movie, most of the story was Annabeth, Percy, and Grover locating the pearls. They also cut Ares completely out! I really wanted to see Percy and Ares fight.

Now for the cast.

Percy: I thought that Logan looked like Percy except he was too old. If you've seen Hoot, I think if he was that age, it would've been better. Logan also did a poor job of making Percy a good person and clueless. He came across as tough and sort of angry.
Grover: Excellent. Sometimes a bit more less awkward, but I was pleased with the actor's performance.
Annabeth: She didn't look like Annabeth, but did a good job. Although when she arrived at the flag in Capture the Flag, I though she was Clarrise, who wasn't even in the movie! *sighs*

Whew! Glad I got that out. You can all disagree with me, but those are my opinions.

I love Percy Jackson way too much. And Logan Lerman. This movie was fantastic and I can't wait for the others!

I want to crackship Percy and Luke, but the only ship name I can think of is Puke... which is probably a sign that I shouldn't ship them.

A cool movie. . I love greek god stories. . And this one fit well
