Unfortunately, it is very serious!!! Dogs and cats have been dying of kidney failure all over the country! It has been confirmed that the food was contaminated with rat poison. There is supposed to be a news conferance about it later, but so far, no word on how the contamination happened!

Lukily, I buy no name cat food at my local grocer, so nothing has happened to my animals, but I feel for those who have lost theirs cats and dogs are all the companions most people have  | |

Fortunately, the food I feed my dogs and cats is dry food, and not on the list of those recalled, which is mainly "wet" food. But still, I am keeping a close eye on all of them!!! It's scary! | |

Animals are special people!!!!!!!!!!! I have two cats, two dogs and one bird! My friends used to call be Bird Lady because at one time I had 6 birds - two parrots (Red-headed and Orange wing) a small parrot, and three cockatiels. I had to remove them from my apartment one day so they could spray for bugs and I had them all in my car when I stopped to visit a friend at her tavern...they all started calling me Bird Lady from then on. I had to give the two big parrots up when my grandson was born...they literally could have bitten his fingers off and I didn't want to take any chances, so I found them a great home. Now there is only one bird left! | |

Health-Nut: There are less people like that around today, fortunately....If an animal can't be "cured" and are suffering, they put them down humanely...there are exceptions, but then those people should be caught and presecuted in my opinion! | |
