Mariel was born into a very proud and arrogant pure-blood wizarding family. The youngest of three girls being raised by their widowed father, she more closely resembles her mother in her dark-haired appearance as well as her more compassionate demeanor than she does her snobbish fair-haired sisters and father. While Mariel immensly enjoys the wealth and power that comes from being a Morgan, she is not completely convinced of her family's intolerant beliefs.
