| | |  Rollerskating Date: Oliver Jenkins and Aubrie Hampson
Strap on your arm guards and knee pads, because it's time to go skating! Not ice skating, no, indoor roller skating! The rink is decorated in blacklights and neon signage; very vintage 1980s with the faint scent of old sweat in the air. Walk on in and over to the counter to rent your shoes! This fun Muggle sport is a good workout if you can get rolling on all 10 wheels. There are two in the back, two in the front, and one brake stopper at the front of the foot, so step right on up and request your size!
Then get out on the floor, but remember to be careful rolling around the ring! There are handle bars lining the skating rink and carpet just as soon as you manage to get off it. Of course there are refreshments at that counter to the right and a few random arcade/prize games scattered throughout the parlor as well. Have fun and don't forget to dance when the roller derby songs come on!  | |

It had been years since Oliver had been rollerskating but he was really looking forward to it. And he was actually excited about this blind date thing. It had been years since he had been on a blind date as well.
He stood outside the skating rink waiting for his date to arrive. He was going to buy a bunch of flowers but it didn't seem right, since this was a fun date and all. So instead he purchased something else. Something that he held behind his back. Oliver wasn't particularly keen on being seen with it.
Rocking back and forth on his heels, Oliver took in a deep breath. Even though he had done something like this before, he was still rather nervous about it.

Aubrie wasn't really sure about the whole blind date thing. True, she did sign up for it and everything, but she was having second thoughts now. But, it should be fun, rollerskating would make it a plus, she hadn't been rollerskating since she had meet up with her friends from Peru years ago.
Once she had skates she walked towards the rink before noticing a man, who was probably her date. "Umm...hello," she said as she walked up to, what was his name, Oliver. Aubrie took note of his hands behind his back, what was he hiding there? "I'd take it that you are Oliver." Smooth Aubrie really smooth, she hadn't been on a date for ages and that wouldn't help her cause.

Too busy looking around the rink at the other people milling around, Oliver didn't notice the attractive looking woman until she was standing in front of him and spoke. "Hello." he replied giving her a warm smile. "That's right. And you would have to be Aubrie."
Still smiling, Oliver extended his hand towards the woman and belatedly realised that the gift he had brought her was still in his hand. "Oh." he said with a sheepish grin and glancing at the teddy bear in his hand. "This is for you. A reminder of our date." He cleared his throat. "If it goes well, you can put it on your shelf at home. If not then I guess you can pull its head off and throw it in the bin." he joked.
Hopefully Mr Teddy Bear was going to keep his head.

She had just echoed his thoughts. Talk about pressure. Oliver flashed her another smile because hey, women seemed to like his smile. He just hoped that this one did too.
He held out his arm toward her, "Shall we go and get our skates on?" Oliver was actually looking forward to this. "Have you skated before Aubrie?"
Oliver wasn't sure whether he wanted her to say yes or no. On the one hand if she did know how to skate it was going to be fun to zoom around the rink together. But if she didn't know how to skate, well...that could be rather fun too. Like having a pretty lady holding onto you.
Oh yeah, Olly always considered the advantages of a situation.

Yes he knew that sounded obvious but she could have gone to school elsewhere and just had her reunion there. And why in Merlin's name was he overthinking this so much? He kicked off his shoes and reached for his skates. "So what do you do for a living Aubrie?"

Aubrie sat down in the chair and took her shoes of slipping the skates on easily. "Yes I was at the Peruvian Academy of Magic in my first and second years. Egypt in third and fourth, Hogwarts in fifth, and American Wizarding Academy for my sixth and seventh year." Aubrie laughed as she told Oliver about her four scchools that she went to. "I still manage to keep up with all my friends still," Aubrie said which sort of explained the school reunion from her first and second year school.
Only then did she realize how stupid she must sound explaining her whole school career. Now why would Oliver want to know that all. She stood up from her seat waiting for him. Career, well what was her job exactly? Hmmm. That was probably bad that she forgot. "I'm part of the Magical Law Enforcement part of the Ministry. I have a liason job and just got a promotion to a deputy something or other in the Improper Use of Magic Office," Aubrie explained, saying to much again. Why did se have to talk so much.
"So what do you do?" Aubrie asked trying to get herself to stop talking.
