The sun is fierce throughout the day in Istanbul, and once it sets, the residual heat takes a while to dissipate, making the roof top dining room of Café Byzantine an ideal spot to catch a breeze. Gauzy curtains and clean white canopies ensconce the diners without blocking out the warm night air. Flickering lamplight falls on polished brass, blood red cushions, and cool white linens, harkening the diner back to antiquity without effort.

The menu is traditionally Turkish, a wonderful melding of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes prepared by a chef that learned to cook at her mother’s knee. The air is rich with exotic spices, and water and ayran are served chilled right on the table. The menu is extensive, from simple soups and spreads served with sliced pita bread to elaborate shwarma and kebab dishes. Very few leave the café still hungry; in fact, the chef would take it as an insult if diners didn't enjoy several courses.

Low walls surround the rooftop café, and the diners almost feel as if they are dining on a cloud, albeit a warm, cumin-scented one. Propped against one wall is a pile of ragged carpets that almost seem to twitch in the wavering lamplight. Upon closer inspection… the antique rugs are twitching, eagerly awaiting their passengers before soaring off into the night sky. Magic carpets are illegal in the United Kingdom, but they are very common sights in this part of the world. Once dinner is finished, diners are encouraged to work up an appetite for dessert by taking a short ride over the ancient and beautiful parts of this lovely city.

Nicole laughed a bit and said, "I bet you did. I was always afriad of getting in trouble and something bad happening so I never went out. Nothing past the common room walls." Nicole looked down at her shoes a little and smiled. From talking to Jack alot she forgot she was a bit hungry, she didn't eat anything before she came. She was guessing they might eat a big meal or something, so she didn't want to spoil it.

"Oh really, they do? I didn't know that," Well Nicole guessed she didn't know anything about the common room, "Well its near the kitchen. They have barles around and you have to tap the correct ones to open the entrance up, so that are password sort of thing. The common room just had chair to sit in like I'm guessing all they are like. Also a fireplace and tables to sit at. It reminds me of a living room sort of thing." From what Nicole told Jack, thats all she could remember about the Hufflepuff common room that long ago, she was in there for seven year though. She smiled at Jack and said, "Its alright, I'm getting hungry myself."

"Interesting, I never tried to get in. Now Slytherin i tried to get in all the time but i never could...i would have pranked them so bad!" Jack said in regret. "So what have you done since graduation?" He asked with a more grown-up and a less devilish smile. "I wonder when the food will get here?" Jack said curiously.

"Well, I wanted to get into the muggle world more, so I went on my own and got a job at a local cafe and worked there. There I meet my daughter Kathren's father and had her." That is all she wanted to tell Jack at them moment, she didn't say anything else, just yet though. If he asked she wouldn't have a problem, it was just to long of a story to say the rest.

Nicole looked around a little wondering the same thing she nodded and said, "I wonder that as well." How long would it take for the food to get there? She had no idea, but each time she thought about it she felt to become more hungry than she was before.

"After graduation i was was my son's mother for a few more years, she was the girl i dated at Hogwarts and one day she was just gone. So i decided that i would see the world, I was living in Greece when i learned i had a son, and moved back to London." Jack said finishing the mouth full of words

"Maybe it'll just appear?" Jack said feeling ever more hungry.

Nicole thought and said, "Maybe it would be a famous type of food from around here." She was curious now about what the food might be. Would she like it? Oh she didn't care what it was (almost) she just wanted to eat.

"That's probably the best explanation." Jack said with a laugh. "What's your daughter like?" He asked.

"Well, she like me but a bit more social. She doesn't work on her work to much, so she doesn't have to great of grade. I get mad at her though, I don't want her to slack off," Nicole told Jack about her daughter. Nicole laughed and said, "Yeah I don't know anything about this place."

Nicole nodded, she wasn't to worried about her daughter he just wanted her to do the right things. What mother wouldn't. She smiled at Jack and said, "So how long have you been in London again?" "Since September, I wanted to be there when Maxwell got on the train. I applied for the ministry a few days before that." He said with a smile. "It's odd, I grew up there and it feels the same but at the same time it's so different. It's like a weird dream."

"Really? I've never been to London in my life. Just straight to Hogwarts, the Platform and Diagon Alley. It all is around London though. I don't know why I've never been before I got my job," Nicole said with a small smile.

"I think it's just that i've been gone so long that all the relationships i had and the people i loved are for the most part gone or moved on, but the memories are still here. Like a ghost or a dream." Jack said still feeling odd. "I'm sure i sound a bit mad." He said laughing softly.
